We need to go back to the basics.

4-3 defense. Either our players can’t comprehend the zone schemes in the current 3-4 system or our coaches cannot teach them effectively.

Either way, something needs to be changed to make it less complicated because our current system isn’t working.

2019 is 2013 on steroids. Great offense, shite defense. Only this year our offense is much more efficient and has, up to now, been able to carry the defense. Can you imagine playing a team with Auburn’s defense and Bama’s offense? Does that team exist? OSU? Clemson? We will soon find out.

I hate to say it but I agree 100%. Since Aranda has been here our D numbers have to continued to go up and get worse. Its a fact. Look it up. You hear the excuse oh this we finally have 25%, 50%, 75% etc.of the D installed. Maybe the guy is too smart for his own good and overthinking himself? Either way for $2.5 mil/year we should not be this bad on Defense. This is Lou Tepper Type Bad!

There is nothing wrong with the defense. It just wasn't prepared for the Ole Miss running game. As Dave Aranda should have prepared the defense the same way he prepared the defense for the Georgia Southern game. As Plumlee and those two running backs were essentially a triple-option attack. Had Aranda prepared the defense to play a triple-offense attack last night, the defense would have played with much more discipline and would not have been so out of position as they were all second half.

Meanwhile, the good news is LSU will not face another offensive team like Ole Miss for the rest of the year. So those of you needlessly melting down because of the way the defense played last night in the second half are wasting your time worrying about nothing

I mean I haven't even witnessed the lsu defense playing "pissed off" in any aranda coached game..I mean , can aranda even piss his players off ? Can he get them up for a game? Can any of them play angry or with a chip on their shoulders? Are they all "soft"?....one complete game where the defense shuts down a team would be nice, just "once"....

I don't know what that has to do with anything. There weren't many complaints about the defense when it was bailing out our putrid offensive performances between 2016 and 2018.

Our defensive output was good up until the A&M game last year, as I've already said. Before that game, Aranda had only given up 30 points 2 times in all 36 games up to that point. Pretending like it was bad just because the defense this year has been poor is straight up revisionism.

Something is definitely wrong, as we've been pretty bad since the A&M game. But the defense under Aranda wasn't the problem with this team until this year.

name one game where the "defense" has win a game for us?.

"Auburn. Now sit the frick down and shut the frick up,

WRONG! Auburn has NO offense, therefore a crappy defense is adequate to "stop" what could not get started.

It’s the walk through room that Aranda pulled for. The Defense is walking too much......
