Do we start Cam as mid week starter and slowly integrate him?
I believe he will be worked early as a starter. Not sure if he sticks as a starter or they decide to use him differently in the back end of high leverage games. Time will tell.

Loer could very well end up in the 50-60 inning range. I think he'll mainly be a pen workhorse but could get a crunch start or 2.
Jump is coming off of an injury so I'm not sure what to expect as far as workload. Jay could shove 50-60 down his throat like he did with Hurd last year, or maybe not.
I think Herring's workload will be similar to last year. 30-40 innings. Not that he hasn't improved or won't be valuable, but the staff is just really deep and deep in lefties.

The difference with Jump and his injury is he has had more than enough time to get back to full health and rehab the right way to get his strength and stamina back. It isn't like Noot or Coleman coming back mid season where you are trying to get the feel back and stamina going mid season. Jump had his TJ during the 2022 summer so come spring it will be around 20 months post op. I don't feel he will be limited at all and I believe he ends up in the weekend rotation.

Cam Johnson total of 35 innings
When Cam was striking all these guys out in the fall, how was his pitch count? He doesn't sound like a guy that'll be pitching to contact, and if it's true that he hasn't pitched many innings the last 2 years it may be unrealistic to expect him to be a starter who can go deep into games as a freshman.

Who will Jay feel is this team’s Riley Cooper?

I don't necessarily mean health. I mean Jump may not be sharp in game action early enough to justify extending him, given he is coming off of an injury and we have other options. Hurd's early season was a completely mixed bag but Jay pushed him bc he had to - Hurd had to be a part of the stretch run with how thin we were and became even more with injuries. Hurd kind of went into a deload mid season, then pitched almost half of his innings during the stretch run. I don't know what to expect as far as how they handle Jump, his situation, and the staff's situation.

Little over Herring and Ack?
He must have really improved since June

At the moment Herring is ahead of few guys on my list. Johnson, Shores, Noot, Little, Coleman, Moffett, Guidry. That I have listed higher than him.
I just feel like those guys still have room for improvement and actually have a higher ceiling. I don't see the high ceiling with Herring. I think Herring is already living up to his potential. I give him credit for doing that. That doesn't mean they will necessarily have a better 2024 than Herring. I just think they potentially could. Big difference between potential and actual results.

I didn't read everyone's posts, but Griffin Herring was a beast in Omaha. He gets lots of innings this year.
I'd agree with almost any combination of Hurd, Holman, Jump. This is gonna be very interesting to watch.
