First - that seemed high. I decided to see how bad October 9, 1993 was (Florida-LSU).
Well that's what's listed on in the box score. It doesn't seem like nearly as bad an arse beating as that Florida game you alluded to, thouh. I was just a pup at the time. Wouldn't have known/cared that much about it.

I agree with you completely, but you'll get a lot of shite because LSU fans are always looking for their next Messiah.
Mettenberger looked like shite running this offense we are currently running too.
Mett had a run game and the 8th ranked defense (after we played everybody). He could afford to look like shite and even still, he attempted 352 passes.
We have played one good offense, and one good front 7. We still have Auburn, TAMU. Bama, Ole Miss, and Arky. All these teams are ranked in the top 35 in total offense. Two in the top 10 and 3 in the top 20.
We will get smoked and be way down at half every game if we can't score some points. So far we can't run the ball, so how are we going to beat these teams? Jennings is a game manager and we don't have the other pieces to rely on just that. My God what don't you understand?

If it weren't for inherited players and a 5 year Sr. Juco transfer, Miles would have zero serviceable quarterbacks in his time at LSU.

He is inaccurate, lacks arm strength, and is a poor decision maker outside of not turning the ball over. Yes our defense and Oline leaves a lot to be desired, but that increases the need for a playmaker even more. If our D was 2011 good and our O line was opening giant holes, Jennings would be the better option. With what we have, we need the guy that can make plays on his own.

Plays like the one that McGee took a part of, when he threw it, are plays that will excite our offense and get things rolling
The only problem is, going off of the staff's tendencies, Magee will see about 5 snaps a game and the only time he actually touches the ball it will be on that exact play.
I've never seen a coaching staff continue to run the same play because it had success once like the LSU staff does. Perfect example is fournette's 20 yards run that can on a toss right. After that his next 3-4 carries were ALL toss right.

He seems to be stuck in the mode of wanting to always make the big play as opposed to making the smart play.

And ability. He can't throw a screen or accurate intermediate passes. He has one great throw to one WR and he locks onto him constantly. Poor pocket presence and a bad internal clock.

I don't think this is fair. I did see him react to to phantom pressure a couple of times on Saturday, but he's still very young. I think his pocket presence and awareness of pressure are decent. It's his inability to deliver catchable short/medium passes that is holding him back - at this point. Most of his short passes that are caught - the receiver (typically a back, but not always) has to leave his feet, thus negating much of anything in the way of run after catch, even assuming the catch is made.
And I don't know what's going on in the intermediate range passes. He's not doing something right, for sure.
If anything, Harris needs to work on his pocket presence, but he's made great strides since his early action. The few live reps he's gotten have paid dividends already.
I would like to see either of them run a true spread offense - for just a couple of full series (other than at the end of the game) - in other words, one where they can run, hand off or pass, rather than run a 2-minute drill.

I attribute his poor pocket presence to locking onto Dural too often and refusing to check down. Rarely do you see him roll out into open spacer where he has the opportunity to scramble for 5-7 yards cleanly. He typicall ends up in traffic and either gets 2 yards or takes a sack.

The past 5 minutes of the game looked preyy good - it even had the MS fans with the semi brook trout

This, 100%.
I think Anthony Jennings is a decent quarterback. Good quarterbacks make for a ball protector, great quarterbacks win games.
Not only does an outstanding QB need to have the ability to get his team fired up and make plays, but he has to have the personality that they can get behind.
I think that is what struck so many people the other night with Harris was that he stepped in, regardless of any circumstances around, and started making impressive throws, many of which were in tight windows (e.g. the one to Quinn and the 2nd TD to Dupre). He gave his teammates a chance and they rewarded him. Can't be timid in this game.

AJ was Not a dominant HS QB, in fact he was not all county (all district) in
Cobb Cty Georgia. Could/Would he start for 2 or more SEC Teams ?
How many games/minutes has he played ?
Yet AJ is not the Real Issue, this year at this point in the Season.
By whatever means LSU needs to fix the OL and Defense.
AJ is not the largest Current liability. He or BH will be the QBs this year and into next season....they can't carry this Team.

Honestly the biggest problem I see with Jennings is that he cant make the "SEC" throws, he hesitates when the window seems to small for him thus getting pressured and taking the sack. He does not trust his arm strength something Harris has no problem with. He locks on to one receiver to often and that's also a big no no in "SEC" play. Just my opinion.

How many 3 and outs did the offense have? You cant leave the D on the field the whole game.

This. The TOP is lopsided because of the last 7 or 8 minutes. But LSU's D was getting hardly any rest in the first half.

I'm with you here. Imagine how hard it would be to get motivated on defense when you know that it doesn't matter what you do, the offense won't be able to capitalize off of it.
