Here's the thing: not saying this will actually happen, but we've seen freshman qb's succeed before. Maybe with an actual qb coach, one of these newcomers could actually contribute early.
I hope LSJ is the next Jalen Hurts....he has the offensive line to do it. I just won't get my hopes up

Because, he's about 170 pounds soaking wet, and we want to actually groom a qb before throwing him out to the fire.

Would have liked to restrict him from SEC and teams on the schedule
Best thing we could have done is make it unconditional. His old high school has some top talent this year and we were already on the outside looking in with his old coach. This shows that we had Brandon's best interest at heart.

Does this mean Lindsey Scott is QB2?
Yep

Really? I hate it when teams do this. If you're releasing him let him go where he will. Also, hihgly unlikely he'd go to a team on our schedule.
Every SEC West team is pretty settled at QB sans maybe Texas A&M which they will either start the freshman Mond or the senior JUCO kid.
Florida maybe but no way McElwain would indict Franks like that, they have propped him up to be the future.

I honestly thought he would have a chance at PT next year, after watching video's of Canadas offense at Pitt. It fits Harris perfectly, if they can work on his short yardage accuracy.

no chest to stay and compete..

I called this a few months back.

He's by far the best option coming in,
As far as production/experience sure. An open competition is still warranted here. You still don't know what you have in the other guys.

Have no problem with this at all. Best for both parties involved. He was a good athlete but he lacked the mental part of the game in my opinion. He was not going to be a fit under Canada's system.

So you think Myles Brennan is on the same level as the people on this list? Again, pump the breaks.

best of luck to Brandon. had he been better coached and not forced into a system that didn't fit his talent, I think he may have had a much better career.
I echo this... very talented young man... if cam puts him in a system that fits the player he is LSU would have had success

Nooooo... I didn't say that. You asked a question, so I provided a link
I don't give two shits about who starts for us next year, as long as they lead us to the promise land...
