Funny is...

He would've been 5th string at LSU this season. 6Th if LSJ doesn't leave.

What separated Flynn from JJ .......I'm just not sure how many people realize that EVERY big SEC game we won in '07 was due to a scoring drive kept alive by a Flynn scramble on a 3rd and 10 or greater.
Yea like they had the same supporting cast, right.
JJ had a terrible OL when he rivaled Flynn's stats.

I really don't get it. He wasn't bad at all games 1-7 before Alabama in 2015. Then he had a good bowl game after he rested up his shoulder injury. He must have no confidence.

Lacking confidence seems to be a trait among many QBs that's played for Miles.

Has his pouty face emerged yet now that he's warming the bench?

He also made game deciding 4th down runs and passes. Call it clutch, call it the "it" factor, call it whatever you want, but romance isn't what beat AU, FL, and AL that year.

Sure. Flynn did some nice things to bail himself out of otherwise mediocre games. He was really good against Auburn, no argument there. He was not good against UF, and was legitimately bad against Kentucky. He threw 3 picks against Alabama too.

Look, Flynn was a more than capable QB for us. He was much more than a game manager, and he had pretty good legs. However, he would often take 3 steps forward, 2 steps back during games. His best was better than JJ, but on the whole, their seasons were very similar. Flynn simply had the benefit of the 2007 defense.

Anyway, hopefully our QB woes are over starting tonight.

And Rettig. And the guy that went to ND instead.

Some kids can't learn.
Some teachers can't teach.
Some recruiters can't evaluate talent.

Unfortunately some times all three happen

Was hoping the kid would put it together this year. But...

I wonder if they'll go to him if/when they get the ball back. The other guy cannot throw the ball well at all, and they went to Harris in the previous 2-minute drill.

Yeah, it was the OL's lack of missed assignments that got those first downs on 3rd and 10 vs AU, 3rd and 15 vs FL, and 4th and 4 completion vs AL.

JJ had go routes, ground game, defensive and special teams TDs, and an 8-0 start going for him. He was the better option over Lee vs AL. And not because we won that first game, but he gave us the best chance to win.

Really pulling for him, but looks like his SR season will mirror his JR season. Feel bad for the guy

I feel for the hype machine by the players. A bunch of them said he was going to be good.
I don't know what happened to this kid!?!

It's funny because the other guy started throwing the ball much better towards the end of the game, but the Carolina fans sound like the LSU fans now. LOL They are frustrated as hell!

that popular narrative it was LSU staff holding him back.
It was. Maybe he would have never developed into a great QB, but for two years in a row we had 2 scholarship QB's on the roster, Harris and Jennings. And it seemed like every single game Les Miles was determined to ignore Harris' issues with short passes, passing blame onto everyone else.

This. And it gets a little worse if you remember what he said:
LINK ]Ex-LSU QB Brandon Harris says at UNC he'll throw 'more than 16 times a game'
Not exactly - 7/16 for 60 yards with 2 INTs

7-16 for 60 yards with two picks against Cal. I feel bad for Harris and I wonder if he will ever get a snap at NC again.
