Duel Threat does not mean any more than a threat to pass or run the ball. We don't need a QB with anchors for feet to be a sitting target. We need a smart, talented good decision maker that consistently puts his offense in good position to be successful. In Cam I trust!

You want Fournette being a pro style RB, not some read option back...also with Dural and Dupre with Quinn in the slot, that also screams pro style

The only reason you didn't see read option with Mett, was because he's slow. The addition of read option will make Fournette and Magee even more dangerous. You are so blind that you believe just because the QB can run, the whole offense will change. It'll now be a package installed for designed QB runs, read, and speed option. We'll still run a pro style offense, just with an option package to add a level. This offense will now become dynamic with different things to defend.

ETA: Magee damnt

Accuracy and pocket presence are weaknesses for BH. He'll redshirt, IMO.

Jennings will be the starter all year. There's a reason Rettig redshirted and Jennings passed up Rivers. Jennings can execute. He will only get better. A year ago everybody was saying Jennings was a sure thing as our starter in 2014. What, now after the bowl game everyone's opinion on him changed? Just like almost every qb, it takes time for them to develop. It is unrealistic for everyone to think a qb can come straight from high school to the SEC and perform at a high level. Harris will develop, learn the playbook, add some weight, and have a serious chance of competing for the starting job in 2015, but in the meantime, Jennings is our qb.

PREACH!

People are all on Trevor Knight's nuts after the Sugar Bowl, but it seems like they instantly forgot how shitty he was throughout the season. He was a true freshman who started the first couple games, playing like shite, then was pulled. His back up played for about 8 games before he was pulled for Knight. Knight played decent in limited action following that before the bowl game where he beat Bama by throwing early and a lot (44 times). People are now going crazy talking about darkhorse heisman.

While I don't think AJ will hit that feat in 2014, he will be much better next year with a year under Cam and at least some game experience. Rettig will challenge, but IMO, Jennings will show everybody why it was stupid to doubt him (he actually tweeted something similar to that after the bowl game).

Real Tiger fans hope you are right! I certainly do...I certainly think that Cam has earned the confidence of astute LSU fans to this point!

If Jennings does not improve his passing, he will be passed up. Lacked accuracy and arm strength in bowl game.

There will be no battle. Miles has decided who his QB will be already and will stick with him through thick and thin, no matter what. Unless there is an injury during the season said QB could throw an int every possession and there won't be a change. Nb4 I'm exaggerating to make a point, kinda.

As the HC Miles has the final say on all things football related at LSU, but I don't think Cam would have returned to LSU if he didn't have pretty much full control of the O. To me, that means Cam will decide who starts.

I don't think we can judge much off the bowl game. Weather conditions and the way we were running the football pretty much decided what we did on O.

Jennings is not the 1st true freshman QB in the SEC to struggle a tad in his 1st start. Since our 1st game next season is Wisconsin, its probably a good thing Jennings got to start the bowl game.

Harris has a long way to go before he starts a game. Accuracy is still a major issue for him

At this point, I have no reason to think he's less accurate than Jennings.

Jennings was horribly inaccurate in the bowl game.

It sounds like we have agreement. There will be competition for the QB position, as well as the other positions. And come game day, the coaches--the guys who are paid--will decide who plays before each game. :)

I think it's an open competition with Jennings having a very small edge to start.

Just my opinion, but anyone thinking a true freshman is going to come in to the SEC West the way it is today and do well is setting themselves up for disappointment.
