I speculated in another thread that maybe Big Will offered a suggestion to pick Swinson. He had one on one experience at practice to compare to opponents. I want to believe it anyway. Tigers sticking together.

It worked for Tyrann Matthieu when Patrick Peterson spoke up for him to management.
I can imagine as the draft unfolds, that a comment or suggestion to a coach about the comparisons from facing Swinson at practice, and others in games MAY influence a pick.
I could also see that if they were looking for ADDITIONAL insight about Swinson, that asking Will would be good info.

Peterson was already a team leader and established player. That’s not the same as asking a 21 year old who you should pick

I didn’t say he tells them who to pick. They may be ready for an edge player and may have Swinson as one of their players on the board. If I was making a pick at that spot, I would use Will’s insight.
