No kidding basketball should be next in line in revenue producing after football sherlock. However I was stating what they are to me as far as importance and level of our play nationally and how much I enjoy LSU Baseball. I used to love LSU basketball when Daddy Dale got us going in late 70's and 80's and early nineties, but things changed, and where basketball left off in early 90's Baseball skyrocketed to National levels not reached by any college team in any sport. So baseball is much more enjoyable for me , plus I would much rather be outdoors, and I love warm weather, and basketball ends in the spring, and runs thru winter. But Honestly, I think Johnson is a good hire and will get LSU going again in Basketball, which I want very much. I love when BBall team is kicking arse, and it is very exciting when we are really good, just no consistency or much of anything in Brown's last 5 years, and Brady in general. Plenty of talent in state, and with good coaching with that talent, LSU can reappear on the national scene. It's just that in baseball, LSU really is royalty, and is on the way back to the top to stay I think.

I was there. I've followed BB since the Dale Brown era. Had season tickets then, gave them up, and got them again a few years ago. Didn't make many games in the last couple of years as I was beyond sick of Brady. I held the tickets with the hope of better days to come. I liked what I saw.
I was in N.O. when Ricky Blanton made That Shot. Awesome.

So many other factors contribute to crappy attendance at basketball in Nov and Dec. Christmas parties, hunting season, students on semester break, etc
Seriously. Holiday parties and hunting season are the lamest excuse i've ever seen.

Aw hell look, I was there for the UNLV game in 91' on Super Bowl Sunday, the Dome for Georgetown game, Pmac for Purdue and Memphis St. games in 86' regional, the Dome in 81' for Arkansas and Wichita St. for the right to go to Final 4 in Philly, the Unreal Kentucky debacle where we lost by 5 after leading by 31 in 2nd half with about 16:30 left. I loved LSU baketball, we just need a good coach, and I think we have a serious one now.

I was there and I now own season tickets. And it was cool having the whole band there. Wish that were the norm.

many swore they wouldn't attend a game with a Brady coached team playing. Well, Brady isn't coaching now. How many of yall went to the PMAC Sat or are going this week?
Well, to be fair, it will take a little while for BB to be in peoples "consciousness" again. Once BB was out of some peoples plans and mind, it doesn't get back as a priority just because the one who drove it away is gone.
The support will return. Just not like a switch being turned on and off.

I was there Saturday, and I'll probably make as many as I can.
The reported attendance was about 4,500 which is OK, but the thing that freaked me out, was when they had that "seat upgrade" for the fan. I believe his regular seats were in 306, but they upgraded him to 119.
119 is right at half-cort, really low. To me, I think that seats like those should be sold out every year. It's just really odd that he was just given such prime seats like that. I guess it speaks about how basketball just isn't tops here.

No doubt, I'm hoping we can get basketball back in the national scene before too long. It sure would be nice to have top 20 programs in all three of the major sports at the same time.

Unless things have changed, I think it's pretty hard to get the good lower level seats. Most of those seats are paid for, but they are often empty which can be misleading. Not to mention LSU/TAF owns lower level seats for various reasons.

That pissed me off, my buddy and I tried to get closer to center court and were told there were none.

list johnson's accomplishments that warrants attending a game, but not attending one coached by a final four, multiple championship coach like john brady?

I live about 150 yards from the PMAC so I'll be at most of the women's and men's games. :jump1:
