No. But I think this team was depleted in important areas on defense due to poor recruiting by Chavis. I'd like to think with Steele's philosophy of attacking we'd improve with more DL depth.

cameron may have full control of the play calls, but he has failed as a QB coach

Now that the regular season is over and the question hasn't been answered all year. WHY THE frick IS BDP CONSTANTLY TALKING TO MILES DURING EVERY GAME?

I won't deny that. Harris and Jennings have been painful to watch. Bad system for those guys IMO

Look I'm not saying I'd be up in arms over replacing him or anything. At this point I'd be fine with replacing him and Cam. I just think Steele's philosophy requires DL depth which LSU hasn't had. I won't pretend I was excited when he was hired or anything, though.

Must be given contract extension. He is Miles' right hand man.

I'm not trying to put words in your mouth, just trying to understand why one situation is different than another. For the record, I don't think they are dissimilar at all. Steele's performance this year should be filed under NFGE--Not fricking Good Enough. If we aren't going to even pretend to try and have an offense, we need an elite skullfricking defense.

I don't remember the ins and the outs from 2008, TBH. That's a while ago.

I don't disagree with your assessment either. The defense was painful to watch this year, especially down the stretch. I've enjoyed Steele's recruiting thus far though. He seems to be good at that.

What are Steele's contract terms?

I also noticed he was right there after the game saying, "Good job coach" and hugging...made me ill.

What does the DL have to do with the experience-laden secondary being out of position the entire year?

watching him run down the sidelines jumping all over Guice was embarrassing ... looked like a high school coach.

This information needs to get out. Somehow. I seriously don't think Les Miles looks at stats/analytics like this.

He sees them doing well in the last 2 games and thinks we're great. Despite Ole Miss having horrid ST's themselves.

I always think of Newman from Seinfeld when I see Peveto's photo.

People who know they doing an inadequate job try to hide their deficiencies by, to put it simply, kissing arse.

Peveto does wonders for Miles' self confidence by whispering how awesome is he throughout games, he stays.

it's time he goes, plus we need a new punter and kos. Kheen or however you spell his name, sucks. Also we can't even kick the ball in the endzone.
