Brad Davis is obviously a “huge pussy” and “traitor” to LSU.
Why don't you attempt to perform the impossible? Repeatedly!!!

Why should Nuss burn an entire year of experience he could have here or elsewhere to better himself?
Some of y’all lack the slightest inkling of intelligence
You don't build a winning culture by encouraging "business decisions." Sometimes business decisions work out. Sometimes they don't. There are many scenarios where preserving the red shirt doesn't matter, much less where it does and most of those aren't usually the best outcomes either for them or for LSU. If a player chooses to watch his team get beat from the sideline rather than try to lead them to victory, how likely is he to stick it out when things don't go his way rather than jumping to the portal.
If you've played, you know. You play because you love the game. You play to win. You play for your teammates. You get paid because you followed your passion to where it led you, not because you made series of strategic business decisions. The argument that you never know if you'd end of needing the redshirt goes both ways. You also never know if you missed the chance to turn a "meaningless bowl game" into the opportunity of a lifetime.

Even with Nuss this game may have just been more competitive. Nuss sits half board clutches their pearls and shakes fist. Nuss sitting allowed Jontre a proper send-off for all of the time and work he put in over the years.

that game was not worth burning a whole year for that guy... i dont care what anyone says. and you dont put that guy in that spot. it was a meaningless game and yes, it gave Jontre a proper send off for all his hard work and dedication to the team... Brad made the right call... Nuss is staying on board and will prob play meaningful snaps next year and will be a great Backup to Brennan in case of injury... hell, Brennan could be out a few games for whatever reason and youre going to be glad Nuss is here...

Plenty upvotes from people who do not understand the word COMMITMENT
Probably not from the Baby Boomers or The Greatest Generation

LSU got their check and the young guys got some playing time. No one except K-State thinks this game meant anything.

Howard is Redshirting next year. He’s already stated that. Nuss will be the backup, and will probably play in more than 4 games.
It's probable now, since there is now no incentive to hold him out of games.
However, if he had burned the redshirt this year, redshirting next year would have been very, very easy.
Obviously, the staff is going to want to give Howard as much playing time as possible. That would have given a ton of flexibility to preserve the Nussmeier redshirt.

They verbally commit to sign with a school. There is no other commitment. They aren't joining the military.

The fact that you don't know he was a great college QB is more of an indictment on you.
