If y'all look at JJ and Jennings and find them comparable...well, then you don't know what you are looking at. Jennings is a pass first QB that can throw the ball to and through spots and lanes. We haven't had this in forever until Mett. With Jennings we get THIS and the ability to elude defenders with his feet should pass protection break down. Cam will bring out the best in our boys. Just watch. It's a great time to be a tiger fan.

To early guys.

But from what has been shown it looks pretty good.

I'm trying to prepare my self that this has a equal chance to go horribly wrong for Jennings. But if it doesn't and he has a incredible passing game that would be huge for the Tiger's future.

Maybe even persuade on WR to stay for the air show.

, but to put it in perspective in was against Arkansas with 0 sec wins this season. Quality oponnent with better defense would outcome be same?

Put this in perspective, how good has our defense been? How about UGA's, Mizzu's, MSU's, Florida as of late, Bama's against Auburn and TAMU, TAMU's defense, TCU's, all of the SEC, OOC opponents, Tennessee' s defense, UK's, Vandy's, Ole Miss' s etc? Stop with that stupid nonsense because all these teams have gotten railroaded at least twice this year, most at least half to the whole year.

I'm not sold on how much it helps him to play one game with receivers and backs that he won't have around him next year.

Taking 15 extra practices with just about ALL of the first team reps is massive any way you slice IMO.

I just absolutely hate it for Mettenberger.

And JJ. People expected too much from JJ after the GT bowl game. Setting expectations too high leads to disappointment.

Preach it brother. I had an earlier thread where I was basically saying the same thing. It turned to shite though with everyone comparing Jennings to Jefferson. Reading comprehension is not this boards strong suit.

the fact that Jennings didn't lock onto one receiver should give fans a funny feeling running up their leg

Let the shouting begin but I really didn't see a lot of arm strength on the throws. It was a great drive and exciting as hell, but starting against a defense that has had prep time is a whole different situation.
I want him and LSU to always succeed , but y'all are getting just way ahead of yourselves on this one. Some of you jettisoning a proven albeit hurt QB who had a great year. Jennings is up, I hope does well, but the want to see Mett finish his career in winning form was more important.

What the fricking frick?

Dude is DONE. We love that guy. But, he cannot play. Its not "jettisoning" him. It is praising the dude that steps in...because he HAS to.

Don't crown him yet man. This young man wants to earn it. No disrespect but I feel that is what he wants also.

Ha! The scoring down looked like an effortless (45+yrd of air) touch pass. What game were you watching? If you watch the replay, look at his feet...hardly even steps into the throw.

Is it wrong to think this is whole QB situation is a win-win for LSU?
Yes.
Sucks for Mett. Period!

Hopefully will not cost him big money.
