True, players and recruits will respect LSU coaches for doing that.

Not really. Now teams like Ohio St and Auburn are in a bind if their QB gets injured because either the backup is not ready, bad, or he's not even relevant enough to talk about. Then you have teams like UGA who could look at their backup in Justin and say, we'll be alright. If Hurts doesn't transfer, Bama has him in their back pocket.

When you only have two QBs and one gets injured, you better hope and pray the backup is at least mediocre, because it he isn't, it's lose city. You can't even try a 3rd QB to see if he's good enough. I really don't think Brennan is ready this year and if we have to go to him, you can expect a 2008 Jarrett Lee type of season. Oh, and hope he doesn't get broken in half.

Brennan’s legs look like toothpicks, I fear for his safety as a starter in 2018. Thought he would have bulked up much more than that by now. Needs to lay off the LSU p*****y, work on his other muscles. LOL

Does anybody realize that LN hasn't played in a competitive football game since he was a sophomore in high school? I don't know for certain if or how many games he played his last 2 years but seems I recall reading that it was zero or very few. For him to start SEC games with that level of experience would be similar to a PGA golfer winning a tournament after not playing for 3 years...not gonna happen. Sorry, but if he was ever going to get meaningful playing time as LSU's QB it wasn't going to happen until his 3rd or 4th or 5th year in the system. Cool the panic attack and wish him well at McNeese or Northwestern.

that's just stupid

That's what I would expect from a "journalist" that made up the word brinkier.

True sports journalism is becoming ‘shrinkier’, it’s largely all opinionated now just like the news.

because 3rd and 4th string QB's lead teams to greatness once every 10-20 years.. if that.

Nobody is going on about him starting but him. We are talking about an injury to Burrow could leave us with Brennan, who is pretty much a human toothpick vs SEC defenses, and Sale, a bad FCS transfer walk on.

Rabalais' hands are not clean in the dismantling of the LSU program. He played a major role in 2015

Well, it's a "Big deal" if LSU is left with only Burrrow and Brennan, then one gets hurt or loss for the season.

When is the last time the LSU 3rd string QB got meaningful snaps in a game?

“ I don’t understand the big deal “

We lost half of our relevant quarterback staff practically overnight.

While that is certainly not a catastrophe, it’s never a good thing. imo
