I love Josh Reed. Michael Clayton. Tony Moss. Eddie Kennison. Wendell Davis. Todd Kinchen, and Larry Foster. DJ Clark, Dwayne Bowe. and Craig Davis. Early Doucet. Terrace Marshall, Justin Jefferson, and, of course, Jamar Chase. But I think Boutte is a top 2 or 3 WR in LSU history. Brennan to him could also be a top 5 QB to WR combo in LSU history. If Kelly can put together a top OL with returners and portal guys and have a dangerous rotation of RBs, unless his scheme is just atrocious, we are going to score a shot ton of points next year.

I think a lot of you underestimate how good Boutte is. He will be the 2nd highest WR draft pick in LSU history after Chase. He’s fricking great. We are about 4 good decisions and good injury luck from contending for the SEC next year and maybe the NC. CBK has got to re-recruit current players to come back, fill in some missing pieces in the portal, coach the shite up out of Myles, get some good injury luck, and we’re right there in the mix NEXT year.

But K. Boutte is the best and most important player on the team next year. Our success depends greatly on convincing him to stay and buy in.

Yeah, you are wrong.

Barring a HUGE transfer class, we are on a 2-3 year rebuild plan. Boutte is only here for 1 more year one way or another.

Obviously, Boutte makes next year's team much, much better. But we aren't competing next year and, as such, won't have much to do with whether we eventually get back to the top.

Thats a hard one to picture. We should be very happy with 9-3 with expectations of 8-4 or even 7-5. The roster is going to be very thin and we can't really gauge what we're going to get from Myles Brennan.

No. I’m saying he’s so fricking good that his presence will make our offense exponentially better. He is fricking great. Better than Odell. Better than Jarvis. Better than Bowe. There with Reed, Chase, and Jefferson for best WR in LSU history. He’s that good.

They're going to get a big transfer class. Already got a top tier OL and are targeting other top tier players in the portal. They have too many spots open not to hit the portal hard. With Brennan back, it changes how good LSU is going to be because if Nuss was your guy it was going to be a rough year.

If Denbrock is the hire Boutte might transfer. His scheme is not the most attractive for WRs unless they alter it. Sure, you get a lot of big numbers from the deep ball which fits his strength...but you're not going to get fed the ball like he did this year. He runs heavy TE sets and runs a lot with RPOs. Don't know. I could see that going either way. I think Denbrock would make Bech, Brennan, Boutte, and the young RBs look great in the scheme. You may see other WRs transfer though. They need to promise a scheme that gives heavy WR sets and not relying on his trademark 3 TEs sets.

Bech would be a superstar in Denbrock's scheme because TEs are involved in everything.

How does the ball get into Boutte’s hands. I would say that guy is pretty important too.

I will say that Boutte made Max Johnson look serviceable

But, we don’t know if Boutte will be the same after his injury

There have been similar injuries that have ended careers, including a WR from his high school that had a similar injury contribute to the end of his baseball career.

Dude, you need to slow the F down. I think BK was a great hire, but we are not good enough to compete for the SEC or a national title next year.

If we manage to go 9-3 next year, Kelly will have proven how good he is.

Now I do think with a good class and some key transfers, we can make a big jump in 2023. Maybe not win a title but a top 10 finish.

Brennan. I am saying now, AFTER Brennan is back, Boutte coming back is the most important thing. He can beat double teams alone and still make plays. But imagine what that will open up for Nabers, Bech, Thomas, Jenkins, Hilton, Lee, etc…Sheeeeeeeeiiiiiiiiit.

He got fed so much this year pre injury because he was often the only viable option.

It’s not a bad thing to have other emerging receivers who can help us spread the ball around.

Hell if we can do that, Boutte is more dangerous because defense can’t just focus on him.

Honestly, the rant isn't capable of accepting something like this even after watching two seasons of below that level of play.

This is a rebuild. Anyone who doesn't admit that is simply lying to themselves and unable to accept reality.

The problem with that is scheme. If you're not a scheme where it feeds the ball to WRs consistently someone is going to get unhappy. it might not be Boutte since he'd be the primary threat but the guy behind him would get unhappy.

Denbrock's scheme does not favor heavy WR sets. It's TE heavy with running, RPOs, and the deep ball over the top. However, with LSU's current personnel the strength is WR and not TE so I could see it being tweaked a bit.
