Needs to be done, but wonder how this works with the recent approval by legislature to borrow $100 for PMAC renovations?

That project is priority five. Unless it moves up, it won’t happen anytime soon.

Probably should just give the women’s team the men’s locker room and men’s coaching offices.

Until McLoser is gone the guys can have the worse locker room.

It’s a TAF project, no tax dollars are being spent, abd yes it will be fast tracked. That’s how TAF rolls.

The first million was an immediate donation, another 50 million is to be raised by private donors through TAF, thus leaving 50 million from the state while it is priority 5. I don’t believe these projects are l fully funded at the beginning. They pay back over time, getting 50 million 5-8 years from now is not a bad plan to finish off the payback.

I believe this part is the State or LSU issuing bonds to fund it

You are correct I couldn’t remember how the funds were being secured.

The state can sell so many millions in bonds each year for capital projects; thus the reason to prioritize projects.
Five is way way down the list.

If a project is budgeted at 100 million you have to pay the contractor the full amount after the project is accepted, punch lists are addressed and the lien period expires. The contractor isn’t going to wait years to get the rest of his money.

Consequently, the bonds to pay for the work have to be sold and financing has to be in place for the project to move forward.

Oh and the one million dollars can get things started, but the architectural fees alone would be way more than that. That money could be used for a study and that’s about it.

1.5 mil to renovate some rooms. That’s just ridiculous.

The part that pisses me off is knowing that a few of us could do a 100 million dollar renovation for 65 million. But errybody gotta get paid so it's 100 million.

Kim is setting up WBB program long term even after she retires (whenever that day ever comes). She is upgrading all the facilities and resources

A lot of this money Kim personally fundraises off the books. Outside of coaching and recruiting, she is a big fundraiser.
