We did not have the final decision yall did. we can wear the purple with no prob. and i agree on the altitude thing but still no match for the humidity and yes the other states have it too but not quite the same. Are you coming down for the game? if so then have a great time we are very hospitable and usually pull in opponents fans to our tailgates.

Hey dumbass, of the 85+ guys on the team, 5 are from the surrounding area. The rest are from eastern NC, SC, Ga and Fla. I guess it doesn't get too hot down there does it?

Do they go home to practice? If not, then this arguement is stupid.

Uh, because he's smart and Appy is the team that decides what uniforms are worn.

That's what National Champions of D1 do.

I'm sure the LSU players wouldn't bitch a bit if they wore purple, it's some of the fans that would have a nervous breakdown.

I haven't read past this post, but I have to ask before reading further, do you people realize App State cannot control the fact it's 67 in Boone today??? IT IS WHAT IT IS! This is why real estate in Boone is $100,000+ an acre! It is cool in the summer and why folks from around the country pay big $$$ to have 2nd homes there (not to mention the scenery!)...

Everyone knows it's gonna be HOT HUMID AND UNBEARABLE during this game, and we get it, we really do not understand HOW miserable it will be! Just like the black uniform thing the ASU team and fan's will have to deal w/ it...You guy's are in the drivers seat...90,000 fans, big time players, 25 more scholarships, huge tradition, defending national champs AND NOW YOU GET THE WHITE UNIFORMS AND 30 DEGREES HOTTER THAN OUR HOMETOWN! Do we need to spot you 2 touchdowns also?

sheez, if LSU does not appsolutely destroy ASU, it will be shocking...yep, pressures all on you guys...

The original post was more of a comment on the decision to wear black more than anything else. It's easy to sit back in 60 degree weather and say "Heck, let's wear black. It worked last time." I think it shows that the App St. coaching staff truly doesn't appreciate what they are getting in to.

An underdog needs to look for every advantage possible. Deciding to wear black on a hot, steamy, Louisiana afternoon is not the best decision in the world. If Les Miles would have announced that we were going to break out some new black uniforms for the game, he would have been committed within the hour of the announcement.

Why are you concerned what unis App decides to wear?? You almighty lsu fans sure come up with a lot of threads about stupid non football related shite, for a "gimme" game. Pretty amusing.

yeah but maybe the App coaching staff has the mindset we are playing by house rules since LSU always wears white at home...I read starting back in the spring on here there would be hell to pay from LSU fans and team if you guys weren't allowed to wear white...why poke that hornets nest? Better to not allow the excuse that we chose white uniforms and made you guys suffer should we have a respectable showing...

The season opener after a nationanl championship year.....It was going to be a hornet's nest regardless.

Hell, even Johnny Cash would have said "F*** it, I'm wearing white" if he had played an August afternoon concert in Louisiana.
