Do people that say this realize how stupid they sound? Les's method of coaching works at a fairly high rate. It is no longer a high enough rate to win a championship, but we've won as much as we have in his tenure because of the way he coaches. It's absolutely asinine to say they win in spite of him. Les is responsible for whatever position the team is in.
I personally think he won't get us in position to win it all again with his philosophy, but this played out "win in spite of him" nonsense is just silly.

Les philosophy and style has allowed us to get absolutely curb stomped and remain uncompetitive in divisional losses.
Um it's not assanine to believe he has won primarily on talent alone. The talent LSU continues to bring in is good for 7 to 8 wins on simply being superior than the competition.

It's absolutely asinine. You can't take a random grouping of high school players and have them win more games than they lose in the SEC without the coach doing something.

2012 fake Arkansas job offer that got us in this buyout mess says hello.

Put it this way. Les was a very average coach when he took over LSU who was established. LSU being established is a recruiting hot bed.
He had an easy transition and has maintained the talent.. But just imagine an above average coach taking over an established LSU.
Les style has caught up to him so hard. He makes even the wins harder than they should be and the losses are no longer competitive. I appreciate his early years but he's absolutely disgusted me with his loyalty to himself and friends over LSU. He rather remain prideful and stubborn than do what's best for LSU and adapt and not have his buddies coaching LSU.

That has nothing to do with players winning in spite of him.

And for the most part, this isn't true. For every blowout loss you name, I can name you losses that were much closer than they should have been or teams we beat that we shouldn't have.

Les gets paid to compete in SEC. It's like watching a coach struck in his 2nd year. No improvements on coaching scheme. He makes same mistakes as rookie coach. Time for a change!

Les owes me some years to my life. Watching LSU can be brutal to your nerves with a Les offense.

Petrino to the rescue next year. We still get crushed by Bama every year

Wait what?? So name those games where our loses shouldn't have been close and wins that we shouldn't have won? Please do

Booger Saying Les Owes LSU Fans by speckhead
Les has given so much to LSU, one of three national championships in LSU history. And even played for another one with a perfect 13-0 season. My message to BOOGER, Les owes LSU nothing. He is a class act, and have kept LSU in the national spotlight more than any coach in LSU history.
Maudlin dogshit.

Les is being paid top 10 HC money and he's not putting out top 10 HC results. He fricking owes somebody.

Les was handed the keys to a Lambhorgini. It took a little while, but eventually he dinged it up by hitting a shopping cart. Then he spilled a big gulp all over the seat. Then he sideswiped a mailbox. Now it is stuck in the ditch. Pay attention, it does not cost anything.

Les took over a monster LSU program when he got here and racked up a bunch of wins coasting off of what was here. He does owe LSU. There is no way, with his coaching, that he could've done that at any mediocre program. In fact, he has returned us to mediocrity.

I really feel sad for most on this thread, LSU is not a Bama , Notre Dame, USC type of power. LSU has been put in the national spotlight because of Les Miles, he has raised the bar for himself. LSU finally has national potential after going 50 years without it. Grow up and realize that without Les getting the great players LSU is just another average SEC team like arky and miss st and ole miss.

LSU has 3 National ships and Les has won one and played for another in his short time here.
LSU has finished #1 in the ap twice. Les has one of them.
If the team doesn't perform, Les will be gone. I highly doubt he is trying to lose his job by sticking it to the fans.
Booger has been saying some idiotic things lately.

Les owes the fans as much as the fans owe Les. Not shite
