That is indeed very steep. Highest paid coordinator in football?

You sound so pathetic. "Only a hire that would happen under O". You're such a bitch. Last time I checked, coach O fielded one of the best teams in cfb history last season and assembled that staff and the players all himself. So, where does your negativity and pessimism come from regarding "coach O hires". He's done a damn fine job and pelini is just another good hire made by coach O. Pelini has been at LSU before, coached elite defenses while here, and won a natty with top 5 ranked defenses every season he was dc. He knows LSU and he has recruiting ties to Louisiana and our recruiting footprint. So, I ask again, what is bad about this hire?

Not sure how I feel about this hire. On one hand, it feels like a home run hire. On the other hand, it feels like we’re getting the band back together.

I can only speak to what I’ll do.... watch it play out on the field, hopefully very good for us.

Coaching changes are a crapshoot IMO. Too often I’ve seen seemingly homerun hires fail, and seemingly crap hires succeed. There’s really no way to know other than to see what happens on the field.

Mixed results on recent coordinator hires relative to fan reactions:
GaryCrowton..Fans Loved hire, mixed results, failed in the end
CamCameron...Fans loved hire, failed on the field
Chavis...Fans loved hire, great tenure at LSU
Steele...Fans Hated hire, ran him out after one year, he’s now highest paid DC in CFB
Aranda...Fans loved hire, had very good tenure at LSU
Ensminger...Fans despised hire, has worked out beautifully thus far
Pelini... fans seem to be split on hire, results TBD

Had plenty $$ for Brady while
(coach A was making 2.5 mill). Y'all call all these coaches by the first letter of their name so I figured I would follow and do the same
: )

Downvote away cucks it is what it is. Much like E, it's another hire that would only happen under O.

Your momma ought to bitch slap you across the face.
You're sitting there rocking a championship shirt while spewing this fricktardery?!

At least Pelini is a known quantity, who has had success. I’m not sure there are any superstar D Coordinators who were passed over.
