In game 3 LSU got demolished by Mississippi St. and Orgeron essentially blamed Canada's offense for the defeat. If I recall correctly, LSU hit on a long TD pass on the first drive that would have put them up 7-0. However, it was called back on a BS OPI flag. LSU never recovered. O quietly was pissed with Canada's offense only putting up 7 points even though the LSU defense was terrible all game long (some of it had to do with the LSU DL only having like two available guys in that game)

The defense was on the field all night and That big Tebow Wannabe Fagbutt Nick Fitzgerald and their running back ran all over our asses.

Don't care what anyone says, but Danny Etling was a decent QB that put in more effort (on the field at least) than any QB that I've seen at LSU for at least a decade before he played.

It's not very offend teams beat good Alabama teams with decent qb's.

This day signifies one thing in our household every year.

The day the US flag comes down in front of the house and the day the LSU Football flag goes up and it stays that way until at least December.

I remember when Les finally put him in against Jackson State in 2016, and for a few moments the LSU offense was exciting to watch again. Etling's ceiling wasn't remarkably high, but he could make reads and could actually place a deep ball from time to time, which compared to Harris and Jennings made him seem remarkable to me.

Les extended his tenure at LSU by a few games for that move alone.

Isn’t Etling still on a practice squad somewhere? Thought I read that the other day.

I blame the coaching staff more than Etling. A Danny Etling should never be a starting QB at LSU in the first place.
Etling had a solid, if unspectacular two years here. Nothing flashy, but he was a solid QB.

And NFL teams must agree, because he's been on NFL practice squads ever since he got drafted, and got called up to the active roster for 1 game by the Falcons. Sure, some posters will shite on that, but it's a hell of a lot more than most other college QBs get.
