True, he's not going anywhere yet, unless he leaves of his own accord. That said, he is a dead man walking. He has lost the support of the fan base, the media, and most likely the players. He was never a good fit, and that has become glaringly clear. My question is what happens when the donors and sponsors who ponied up the money for the NIL funds don't do it for him again because they see the writing on the wall?

Yea because if we did it now no one would take money to call plays here. Right.

Meanwhile let’s just lose a few more games on purpose.

Nobody who is currently employed would.

And even if you found someone who is better than Sloan, unemployed, and willing to come here on a 1/2 year deal (because realistically you are going to want to be able to hire your “real” OC at the end of the season), there’s still the issue of bringing someone in with completely different scheme/terminology/etc. and no familiarity with the roster.. in the middle of the season.

The only way a change gets made midyear is if someone else currently on the staff takes over playcalling duties. You aren’t making an outside OC hire in October.

Nope. woody got us here, I am not donating a penny until his problematic arse is gone.

Why would I let him try to sign some other lethargic frick to a decade long deal?

2026 looks bleak. We lose a lot of talent on both sides of the ball. We’re going to need probably $2 million just to lure a good quarterback to Baton Rouge. That doesn’t even count for all the other positions that we need to fill. I’m certainly not a $100 million net worth booster, but if I were, I can’t imagine throwing good money after bad. I imagine the next thing those guys are forking over money for is a buyout.
