hey ran no such thing - I never saw them read anything.

I didn’t see the game. It was mentioned that they ran a type of option, so I asked if it was the Veer.

That’s really not at you - they never ran any options - bunch of BS.

Nicholls hit them with them something they weren’t prepared for.

Yep. A run defense.

Exactly dipshits on here like Saturncube don’t get it. They played a vanilla defense the entire game. Cover 2 and quarters. Who fricking cares about the Nichols game.

Yes that was also after we had just had a slug fest with them and we looked like a plate full of piss vs WKU following that game as well.

This was week 2 of the year.

Nicholls coach has been there forever and we need to make adjustments between series.

I don't care what offensive scheme they are running... you have them totally out classed in talent, (or damn well better) you should be able to make slight adjustments between series and shut them down.

your linemen should absolutely OWN the line of scrimmage, and outside of a trick play here or there, yardage should be very difficult to come by.

So right he said it twice!

It's good that the coaches made adjustments for the 2nd half, but most would expect the caliber of athletes on the LSU squad to be able to physically dominate and thus make up for a scheme that the coaches did not prepare them for against Nicholls.

I hope it was just a case of not taking Nicholls seriously and getting stunned in the 1st half. Hoping for better preparation and attention from the team as they get ready to face SCAR.

wishbone offense

Have not heard that in a long while. I ran the wishbone as an 11-12 year old back in the 90’s. It felt too dated back then. ??
