Harris doesn't even have us in a position to win that game.

I mean that isn't true at all, but don't let me get in the way of your narrative.

This. Biggest difference between the two. I can't believe someone is arguing against this.

Agreed.

He hasn't to my knowledge. He has completed it to 8 though. Spreading it around and the TEs are more of a myth than anything else. If Harris target TEs as often as Etling, it would have resulted in like 6 more TE targets for the entire season. That is insignificant, but it FEELS different because Etling is new.

I've spit out nothing but facts, but sometimes it flies in the face of people's emotions and it rubs people the wrong way. I understand that won't be popular, but it doesn't change the facts.

People continue to laud the TE usage. We continue to throw to the TE as often with Etling as we did with Harris. Do you not find that strange?

No. Everything you've said makes you look like you know nothing about football. There's no way you watched Harris last year and the beginning of this year. I guess him being benched is a conspiracy?

Not everything you say is factual. But, when and if you think you're right, try coming off a little less douchey. Sometimes I agree with you, but more often than not, I feel like I could punch you in the face and not feel bad about it.

Also, this. I really would like your educated input on this topic.

We need to see how the team 3rd down conversion rate compares between the two QBs to gauge efficiency

Etling just seems more at ease. Harris looks rattled too much to be comfortable with him. Harris was subjected to designated throws where Etling can take what he is given including catchable throws to TEs and RBs. Slants and seams were calculus to Harris and it was clear his accuracy problems gave cam fits so cam gave him one reads, deeps balls and outs

Etling is more at ease. His pocket awareness is the #1 reason he needs to continue to be the starter. I'm not nearly as excited about his arm and moving the ball through the air as I am with this ability to run at the right time and pick up yards on the ground.

That being said, he absolutely has to get down more often on scrambles. You'd think he would have learned his lesson vs. Auburn last week.

This board has done it to me. My apologies.

I didn't mean to insinuate he was the only reason, but if there was one negative play to point to, it would have been his unforced fumble on what I believe was 2nd and 2 inside the 40ish yard line. I know Auburn didn't score there, but we were driving the ball well and that fumble was a back breaker. Not really sure how that could be debatable.

You still haven't told us how Etling lost the Auburn game last week.

Put up or shut up.

Huh? He got benched because he was mediocre against Wisky and putrid vs JSU in 2 series.

The Harris of last year through this schedule would likely have this team 4-0. He was much better then than he was this year. He also targeted the TEs as often as Etling. This isn't a debatable point.

However, Etling is new, so he understandably gets a pass. He's also going through an OC and HC change, so he gets even more of a pass. Tonight he was plenty good enough for us to win a good number of games. He needs to be better on deep balls and he needs to get down though. Do you disagree?

Look up. That untouched fumble was as bad a play as you'll find and was a pivotal moment in the game.

The fumble was caused by ball contact with Moore. Not completely on Etling, and not the reason we lost.

And whose fault is that? C'mon man.

In all likelihood, we're kicking a FG to win it at the end without that fumble.

I do believe the trust is an issue, Cam and Les did not trust his QB/Offense....

I think Cam was a bigger problem than Les to be honest. The practice thing I am not sure it is a big issue. I think Les understood practice and when to work hard and when to have fun. He was old school but also a players coach.

The DC has been an issue all year, I was kinda concerned because 4 games in the defense did not look great. I do not know if it was because of a different coach but Les was fairly hands off on defense so the beginning of year fall squarely on Aranda.

Etling had the same type of game that he had against Mississippi State numbers wise. The defense played better and the team found bigger holes. That can be that Missouri is a worse team than State, the team was pumped, who knows really.

However, it is just one game and studies show that teams usually play better initially for an interim coach. Will be a better test next week than what this week showed.
