our secondary we are very young there

If you mean depth-wise, I guess you're right.. but we are MUCH younger on the DL.
DL is my biggest concern (although I believe we'll find our groove when we need to). Freak and Rasco are the only players with meaningful snaps.. I guess you could make an argument for Ego, as well. It's still a mystery who, exactly will emerge as the 3rd DT, as well as the DE opposite Rasco.
As concerning as it may be, I actually like the fact that it's up for grabs. I think it will make for a nice competition among those fighting for the spot.

D-line depth. Period.
I truly think our starting four (Rasco, freak, ego, hunter) will be among the best in the conference. It's the guys behind them I'm extremely concerned about. There's a lot of talent behind the starters, but they are very young and unproven at this level. Out of Bain, Beckwith, Neal, Lacouture, Gilmore, Bower, and Herron, I think at least three of them have to step up right away for this defense to be successful.
You HAVE to have a second string of defensive lineman to come in and eat up reps and keep the starters fresh. LSU has been the best at this for years and we've relied on it as a strength. Without it, there's too many good o-line's in this league to wear your front down.

My biggest concern is has Miles conducted an exhaustive self scouting of the program this offseason to identify what has kept the program from keeping pace with BAMA and not climbing the mountain. And if he identified those aspects, was he able to swallow his pride and make the correct changes. Lots of talent on hand and coming on board. Championships need to follow.

The fans, they're stupid.

dline. no question. with one injury, that becomes a hopeful situation at best. i will not say that depth cannot come from freshmen, but i know that it normally does not.
qt, and mj are complete question marks as well.

Offensive/QB production on the road -- #1 concern
Posted on 8/3/13 at 8:27 pm to Rubix Cube
I've heard the secondary before and I don't see it. We return two starters there, albeit theyre freshman, they were very good last year. I look for Mills to continue his streak of great play and Tre White to see serious time at nickel and maybe even take J. Collins starting spot by the end of the year.

If LF goes to LSU or not.
Not worried about the defense as much as others and the offense can only improve.
And since when has our schedule ever been easy?

1) DE--nobody, including Rasco, has done anything yet
2) DT depth--some new guys are gonna have to step up big time
3) Jeremy Hill coming back--as talented as we are, he may be the best football player on the team
4) PK
5) the schedule

Defensive ends particularly. Chavis' scheme is predicated on pressure from the DEs. We have no idea if the new starters can do that without having to an extra man or two.

Pass protection. If pass protection doesn't get better, LSU will have problems in all of its real games.

The biggest concern is the rest of the SEC is getting better.
