I wasn't aware of this Cliff Harris character; just like I'm sure you weren't aware of Claiborne.

Comparing James to devine is insane. Plus devine was injured when we played them.

we dont do well vs the option read and james will get around 150 with a few big runs. Darren will throw a few picks too though. We will wear Oregon down in the 2nd half so I'm not worried but James is dope.

jj and gore running the read will be a good simulation to help us prepare. I just hope our secondary doesn't get too aggressive on the play action and give up big pass plays.

Own homeristic picks

No homerism here buddy. It's a legit argument.

Cliff harris had 6 picks in 13 games. Tied with 8 other guys for 5th in the nation. Really good for a sophomore. He also had 17 pass break ups in 23 passes defend so he allowed 6 completions. Very, Very impressive.

LSU's Claiborne had 5 picks in 12 games, with 6 pass breakups in 11 attempts, allowing 5 catches. Also, Very, Very impressive. And also a true junior this year.

The best cover corner in the nation is debatable, but i think its safe to say that 2 of the best 3 are going to be on the field in Jerryworld come Sept. 3rd.

Also, both are preseason all-Americans.

Cliff harris was a consesus all american returner and scout all american corner, as a true sophmore. He picked off Cam and had a second ruled out of bounds. I hate to hijack a thread like this.

I said homeristic because it is debatable and we are going with our own guys. However, being outside of the SEC, I seem to be a little less myopic. I, mean, c'mon no knowledge of a consesus all american and kid that lit it up in the NCG?

Richardson is clearly the best RB in the country.

Lol! He’s not even the best RB in his conference. Lattimore over Richardson all day every day and it’s not close.

Myopic? What does being outside the SEC have to do with being myopic. Keep it relevant to the discussion at hand. Just because i say MoC is arguably the better cover corner has nothing to do with him being in the SEC just like you didnt say Cliff Harris was better because he played in the 12 pack. I posted STATS supporting both arguments. Of course in my heart i believe my guy is better just like you do, but that is irrelevnt to this argument.

To make the notion that i dont respect your player because he plays outside the SEC is ridicolous

I didnt say that. What you have to learn is to distinguish between the rational, intelligent posters and the "Rantards" on this board newbie

I know you didn't say it but other did. It's just surprising. I guess every Saturday morning I can turn on CBS and watch the SEC. Football fans in the Southeast don't get to see the PAC. I saw plenty of Arkansas, Auburn, LSU last year.

This is true. The "main event" every week except one in the SEC is played at 2:30 CST.

The big game for the Pac -10/12 starts at roughly 8 CST. By that time, most SEC fans are hammered drunk

For the most part, Claiborne covered much better receivers than Harris did last year

I wouldnt go that far. Harris possibly covered 5 of the top 50 receivers last year(Criner, Kearse, Adams, Moore, and Wilson.

5 for Claiborne also(Moore, Adams, Jones, Fuller, D. Jones)

Lache Seastrunk... He's a redshift freshmen for Oregon and supposedly turned heads in spring training. LSU can't be asleep at the wheel focusing only on James.

The talent in the WEST is pretty good. Watch for the Pac to do what the SEC did this year in the draft. Barkley, Luck, Kalil, will most likely be top 5 picks and the half the mock draft boards have other Pac 12 players filling up the 1st round next year.

Lache did some good things in spring but he is definitely behind Barner - miles behind barner. Tra Carson, incoming frosh, is highly regarded by the staff and will be the thunder to all the lightening. He is 225 out of high school and broke all of LMJ's records in high school (same high school). He had a ton of late offers.

Luck and Barkley are about as sure fire top 3 picks as you get. Kalil is about the best offensive linemen in the draft with Martin at
Stanford not far behind. I would not be surprised to see these 4 in the top 10. Harris will not drop below the 1st round and Burfict could push his way up to top 15. The Pac is putting in a lot of talent this year.
