Orange Bowl Game, January 1, 1983 against Nebraska.
After the game many fans were chanting "LSU! We Love You!"

Last saturdays game...may have been somewhat sloppy showing from both teams but the passion in the air was almost tangible...when the commentator announced that it was saturday night in death valley i felt a chill down my spine, then the blocked kick all that in front of a record crowd...even though we lost i'm still glad i was fortunate enough to witness such an intense game my first season in death valley

Thanks for your post. I remember my years at LSU with such fondness and have a deep love for the mystique of Tiger Stadium. Glad this lives on and you appreciate what is truly the most wonderful place in all of college sports.

it was a good game but it should not have been. One guy playing like shite costed us a dominant victory.

2005 1st game post Katrina at Arizona St. I was the only Tiger fan that I could see without the help of the jumbotron. It would get real quiet in my section right about the time I jumped out of my seat screaming and yelling. Yeah those Sun Devil fans hated me. I've never been more proud to be wearing purple and gold!
Honorable mention: Auburn 2001 the year of the surprise onside kick and the "trombone incident" with the kicker Duval at halftime.

1970 Notre Dame game in South Bend. Tigers lost 3-0 against Joe Theismann - should have won that one.

I remember that N.D. loss in 1970- was tough to handle..but Ara Parsegan (forgot spelling of his name) really found out about how tough LSU's defense was...but in the end, a ref's call (Imagine that!!) turned out to make the difference in the game. We did get revenge the next year though...

People who were at USC 1979 still talk about it to this day. I doubt anyone will be discussing last week's game in 2038.
