here is how I see it:
Joe Addai
LeBrandon Toefield
Dominick Davis
Steven Ridley
Jacob Hester
Charles Scott
I would rank them as follows:
Lebrandon Toefield
Joe Addai
Stevan Ridley
Jacob Hester
Charles Scott
Dominick Davis (but he wouldn't be sixth if I listed all RBs)

Chad Jones was a better safety than Steltz IMO

I don't know. Steltz was about as sure a tackler as any defensive player every at LSU.

Ally Broussard was the most talented RB of the decade, imo.
its a shame he got hurt

lol
Steltz had more picks in 1 year than Jones had in his whole career.

3 way tie: Dorsey, Peterson, Hester

D-wayne Bowe has the most talent...

Sorry, but it's not Jacob Hester.
I'll go with Peterson
I'll go with Peterson

Laron Landry is my favorite so I'm a little biased towards him

what about Alan Faneca?
2000-2010 would not include Faneca's era at LSU.

I love how these threads begin with a specific question and end with answers that do not adhere to the question. He asked who is the best PLAYER....not group of players. It seems like anytime someone starts a thread like this, people are naming 5 people in no time.
These questions are loaded anyway. Best player of decade is certainly no easier than "best player of all time" - Is the best LSU player of all time Y.A. Tittle? Jimmy Taylor? Billy Cannon? Jerry Stovall? Tommy Casanova? Kevin Faulk? If we can't agree on one per position (all of these guys were backs and 4 played special teams and three played both ways).
So I gave one (or sometimes two) at each position. Try to have fun with it.

It would be nice if the Hester-ites could explain what Josh Reed was doing to prove he wasn't leaving it all on the field, playing with heart, etc. He did have the greatest receiving year in SEC history but just imagine how good that year would have been if he gave his all like Hester.
