My wife and I stayed at the STAYBRIDGE SUITES and we thought it was really nice. Close walking distance to Tiger Stadium and Walk On's bar and restaurant. Good food at Walk On's.Great LSU hang out.

Although I violently opposed staying at the Belle of Baton Rouge Casino the overall experience was not as bad as I had thought it would be. It sure did come in handy when the bars closed at 2 AM but we were still in party mode so we went to the casino and kept drinking and played cards for a while. The bar in the lobby was a very happening place the day of the Alabama game..... Different strokes for different folks just be sure you set your expectations wherever you stay

Staybridge on Nicholson but if you don't have a reservation already, good luck getting one.

I stayed at Hilton on Acadian last Nov. for the Moo State game. Nice enough hotel, full of football fans, but nothing special in terms of location- had to drive to the game and deal with the traffic afterward. Months in advance, that was the best I could do.

Stay ridge is a nice chain. Nothing extravagant but that location is phenomenal.

Stayed at courtyard for Florida game 2 years ago. They had shuttle. But I blacked out during 3rd quarter from the Combo of Beam and Sun beating down on my head. Left folks I was with. Left stadium and just started walking. Ended up in some bad spots. Eventually made my way to some restaurant/bar under the interstate. Cell phone was out of juice. Bartender Said cab prolly would not show up. So I asked him how far I was from the casino. I figured there would be cabs galore. He pointed me to casino. Walked there, went to BJ table, lost a grand AND had to pay for my own beers. What a shithole that place is. Then went to lobby of whatever hotel that is connected to said shithole casino and waited an hour and a half for a cab.
Not to judge, but this seems more on you than Baton Rouge.

you are older than 25 stay dowtown at Hilton or Hotel Indego and catch a shuttle to the game.
I believe the Hampton Inn on Lafayette/Main will be open by football season also.

The new casino (L'Auberge) or downtown. Lod cook will be booked staybridge as well for the good games. Both hilton downtown and L'auberge should have shuttles to avoid taxi fees.

Where ever you decide to stay, I'd book your reservation now. Most get booked up pretty fast. And some do require a two nite stay. It may be too late for the Hilton but I'd give it a shot due to its location.
