2004 against Auburn Randall opened strong , scored. They were on heels. Their Hignesses, Nicky and Jimbo, had "scripted" game to bring on Russell. Bang zoom, out...momentum swung. 10-9 forever! Easier to see if you'd left Ivan devastation to be there.

Ep: Wiki doesn't show him winning MVP but I swore I remember him winning it

Worst: Russell

please

Bert would be #1 if allowed to really play
Hodson, Russell, Mauck, Tittle, Flynn, Risher, Davey, Miley,Hillman all very worthy, Hodson for me as we were same age

Loup, Howard (I hear the Amadee argument but Jamie THREW the passes), Booty all deserving of worst full season

Randall/JJ/ even JLee get way too much in the moment hate from this board, those guys while not statically fantastic all played on winning teams

Those that carry Y.A.'s water are too old for TD. Agree that he was a great - but mostly recognized as a great pro.

im only 20 years old but YA was a great pro, don't know much about him while at LSU but just going on assumption, thanks for the insight

Best: Flynn, Hodson, Mauck

Worst: Russell (I don't care about the numbers, he made stupid mistakes and lost too many big games)

Hahahahahahaha! He only lost 4 games in his career as a starter! And has 8 come from behind victories in the 4th qtr. Against some top teams on the ROAD

Russell was such a freak. Had he stayed his senior year, he would have absolutely destroyed every LSU passing record.

Bert Jones was also a freak, and he actually went on to succeed in the NFL. Considered by many to be the best pure passer ever. Here's a video that includes his play at LSU. Look for #7 in the later part of the video

Loup and Howard were TURRRRRIBUL!!!!!!!!!!!!!

As far as JL is concerned, I think he was just forced into a very bad situation with the whole "Paralux" thuggery. His confidence was shot after '08.

JJ is pretty bad. I don't give a crap what anyone says. 2 bowl victories and mediocre passing performances in propped up by the D and running game do not constitute being awesome.

Hodson was awesome, and Davey was awesome for one year as well.

As far as leadership on the field the best in my opinion was Tommy Hodson or Matt Flynn. As far as talent Jamaracus had the most raw talent and physical tools. Rohan Davey had a good blend of both. The worst overall was Chad Loup or Jamie Howard. Neither of them were capable of pulling games out for us.

Bert was probably the best pure passer, but Mac wanted him to run the option a lot. Miley had the tools to run and throw. After one season, Mac switched to the Veer to showcase Miley, However, right after pring practice he signed a pro baseball contract and was gone. All Mac had was Carl Otis Trimble who couldn't pass, Billy Broussard - a decent QB but not for the veer, and Bobb Moreau -who had no business at QB at all but eventually had some success on defense. Pat Lyons came along (Paul's younger brother) but did not have that great of personnel around him. After he got hurt, Mac went to Ensminger & Woodley as redshirt freshman for the last couple of games of that season. This was all mid 70s.

Without looking at the other responses...

BEST
Any QB who has the guts to put up with the pressure of being an LSU QB.

WORST
These are college athletes and you are not worthy to judge any of these young men...good or bad. If a 19 year old QB causes you to loose sleep, then you need to get a life, internalize and understand what really makes you a loser. I was fired from my job last year, it wasn't the ecomomy, it was Ryan Perrilloux's fault. Really, between you and a turd, you smell marginally worse and the turd is better looking.

Should have been a Safety. The "favor" of him playing QB cost him a great college and potentially a Pro career. He did throw the Bluegrass miracle though, so give him that due.

Randall wasn't good but we would have been up shite's creek if we didn't have him in '02 and '04. Rick Clausen would've taken over in '02 after Mauck gets hurt(we easily lose at least two more games that year) and JR and Flynn go back and forth as freshman when neither of them were that good in '04.

seeing as how perriloux hasn't played a snap at LSU since 2007 and you lost your job last year (2010) then you obviously lost your job from your lack of intelligence. You can judge someone based on their stats vs others stats.

No telling how many passes Sparacino had dropped against Bama, but it was a ton. Folks don't seem to remember that, though.

I did lose my job, but I moved and now make twice as much as I did before, but it could have been more. Unfortunately Perrilloux set me back 3 years. Lawsuit pending.

My lack of intelligence is congruent to reading posts like yours. That will be addressed.

Will see you in Tiger Stadium. I will be the one not booing and staying until the last whistle.

I will not be in tiger stadium watching the game. I love the atmosphere but my kids do not need to go now while they are so young.

Last time I went a drunk women in front of me kept yelling don't throw the ball jefferson, only we was on defense at the time, and cursing like a sailor.

So i'll be sitting at home drinking my beer, watching it on the flat screen, and letting my kids learn that behavior and words from their father.
