We had a good season considering all that happened. The reason Bama has been in this position the last few years has been scheduling. They only had two difficult opponents this season to reach the SEC championship and one team beat them and the other should have. LSU has a great deal to look forward to next year. We will have more experience and with people coming back should be poised for another title run. Let's enjoy the bowl game and look forward to signing day! :geauxtigers:
Ralph's on the park is right off carrolton.

I also remember Derrick Thomas from Alabama having a monster game against us. I think he even blocked a punt and returned it for a TD.
Reggie White 1983. He was in the backfield all night!
LSU and Bama were 1-1 last year vs. each other. The team that played Bama in the NC game was not the same team that beat BAMA at their place. Something happened I do not care what anyone says. I just hope the problems have been resolved and payback is coming. :spank:

re: Best and Worst LSU QB's

As far as leadership on the field the best in my opinion was Tommy Hodson or Matt Flynn. As far as talent Jamaracus had the most raw talent and physical tools. Rohan Davey had a good blend of both. The worst overall was Chad Loup or Jamie Howard. Neither of them were capable of pulling games out for us.
Did LSU play Georgia when they had Champ Bailey?
Oh yea Jackie Robinson too!
That's a good one. Would have loved to see him play against us. We would have owned him like we owned Eli.
I am asking mostly about our regular SEC foes who have been on rotating schedules. I know there are plenty of players who have never had the opportunity to play here. George Rogers played for SC before they joined the SEC correct?
Greatest players never to play in Tiger Stadium

I am sure this topic has come up before, but as I was sitting and thinking back to some of the best college players I have seen play against us, it dawned on me that LSU did not play against Herschel Walker and I do not remember them playing Bo Jackson. Are there any other great players we missed seeing? Rantards remember?
re: What was so great about the 79 USC vs. LSU game

I was in Boy Scouts at the time and had been ushering games for two years and would go on to usher until 1983. The USC game and Alabama games in 1979 were the two greatest games I have ever seen LSU lose. The atmosphere at the USC game was one that I had not seen until that game and have only experienced a handful of times since. Everyone was on the edge of their seats the entire game and most of the time standing up. There were a large contingent of USC fans in my section, and I remember them asking if this is how it always was. I told them to enjoy it because they would never be in a better stadium. Even at 11 I knew Tiger Stadium was special. These folks enjoyed the game and I still have some buttons we swapped after the game. I was really dissappointed we lost, and felt we were the better team that night. But I was very proud of how we fought against such a great team. It is great that now we win most of the close ones instead of coming up short. It definitely ranks as one of my top 5. I can't rank it higher because we did not win. If we would have it would be number 1. :geauxtigers:
Eric Martin. Wendall Davis, Josh Reed.
Rudy was a great player and person. I never followed LSU Basketball until those great teams of the early 80's with Rudy, Hi-C, Jordy and The Cookie Man, Duane Scales, Ethan Martin. Great teams and great years of Tiger Basketball! How wonderful it would truly be to see those days return!
Great Class Tigers!

I believe the coaching staff has done a great job with this year's class. In addition, it looks like we can look forward to 2011 with the base of committments we have for next year. Hopefully we can get our team continuity back next year and compete for both the SEC and national championships. Great day for LSU! :geauxtigers:
