Besides the cheating, what really bugs me about the PP call

In a situation where the on-field refs ADMITTEDLY didn't have a clear view of the play, the role of the replay booth should be to get the call CORRECT... i.e., toss out the field judgment, altogher, and make the ruling, itself.
Miles's statement that he was "satisfied" was not only chickenshit but stupid. WHY should he be satisfied with a process that delivered an obviously incorrect ruling?

The ruling on the field stands... I replied with what fricking ruling?

Wait what are you talking about? Was there a bad call last week or something?

Alabama's strange field design..

There never was a ruling on the field...soooo, the replay official should have taken the official role and MADE the call based on video evidence.
Hence....not making the officials look bad. WHICH by the way I never understood....just get the damn all right.

I believe that it is time for the head offical on the field to see the replay and make the call like they do in the NFL.

What bothers me is that Patrick doesn't get credit for a phenomenal play. That goes against everything that competition stands for. An outside source is imparting their will on the play and the result which has been shown to be egregiously wrong. That's what bothers me the most.

Wrong! The ruling on the field was an incomplete pass

You could see the first official didn't see it and needed help. They call it incomplete and were letting the booth get a good view of it.

I could care less about the ruling on the field if it is obvious the booth has the same angle or better angle to come to a decision. The ruling on the field is irrelevent IMO.

THat's what bugged me the most. What an incredible play by Peterson. Imagine having that kind of talent!

If the video evidence is inconclusive from the replay booth, the call on the field stands. I personally saw a foot in bounds on film,so to me this means the replay official either did not think that Peterson's foot was in bounds,or He believed the video evidence was inconclusive.
Objectively speaking, this replay guy is full of shite on both issues cause the video was very good and the foot was clearly in bounds.

Did you all get the feeling that Tom Ritter did not want to utter those words. He had seen the replay screen in the stadium and knew the call was bs. Looked scared $hitle$$ even though he was in 'Bama and not BR.

Miles is such a company "yes" man are you really shocked?
Sometimes I wish he would put down the act of being a 100% all the time good guy, and just be honest instead of constantly blowing smoke up everybody's arse.

I think you see a weakness in the replay system. The "clear error" standard works when there is a call with error. It seemed to me listening on the radio while driving that there was no call. The SEC should require the officials to make a call or empower the replay booth to make an original call. Field officials who do not want to make a call should be replaced. Their job is to call it like they see it. Technology can take care of errors.

I haven't been able to figure out what basis the on field refs had for calling PP out of bounds. If you didn't see the play, why should the default be failure instead of success? In this situation, he never should have been called out of bounds and replay should have been used to overturn that call.
