In '99, LSU lost 8 straight games including a 7-20 loss to Houston. I got free tickets to that game and the stadium was basically empty at kickoff. Saban did not take over the caliber of program that O did. Stop it.

I don't think people remember how far the program had sunk before Saban arrived. He truly had to pull Lsu out of the Dark Ages.

bullshite. U are trying to tell us that Davey and Boutte were not better than Etling and Brennan that is laughable.

this implies wins and losses determine how talented a team is. That would suggest O's teams isn't talented either.

You really want to take that stance? That DiNardo left the program in better shape than Les did?

I will compare whatever the frick I want. I bet had TD existed everyone would have been calling saban a bust and never thought he would be a winner.

People were sayng this. just didn't have a forum like this to do so... Yet he righted the ship and went 8-4 and won the SECCG the very next year..... THIS WILL NOT HAPPEN with this coaching staff..... IMO Canada needs to go back to Pitt and let Ensminger call the plays.....

Saban was a slightly above.500 coach when he came to LSU and was the same athe first few years he was here. And his Bowl record is the same 11-9

WRONG! other sites were around. i posted on one that was founded back in 1998. educated posters were not calling saban a bust. he was a proven coach. the way he rebuilt and turned us around in one year was amazing

The seats will be empty again. Just wait. The only thing a bad record does is allow people who would otherwise not be able to go to games be able to attend at ease.
