Can I blame Johnny for not double teaming Obasahan until he had 29?

Coleman wasn't missing 3s either

Can I blame Johnny for staying in zone as long as he did?

Quartman and Grey couldn't guard Obasohan whatsoever

Can I blame JJ for not calling a TO to set up an offensive play when we were stuck on 2 FGs in 2H with 10 mins left?

Ben Simmons and the rest of the team continue to jack up shots in less than 10 seconds after crossing half court. That's on the players. Players didn't set up plays

Just like during the Dale Brown era. These teams spend more time working on no-look passes and alley-oops than they do with attention to detail.

If a player can do a between-the-legs windmill dunk but he can't hit a free throw in the last 2 minutes of a game, then the coach needs to do something about it. But hey, he got on SportsCenter. So it's all good, amirite?

Johnny's teams haven't shot free throws well in all 4 of his seasons here. It's the coach.

This game was lost on more than just missed free throws.

Absolutely, we were lucky to get to the stripe as much as we did with how lost we looked offensively.

And if you are going to play so much zone to protect Victor, and that was the stated reason, you need to actually play it with some efficiency, not just watch and hope. And that's what we did in that pitiful exhibition of zone defense, watch and hope and then watch Bama get offensive boards. It was as if we hadn't practiced much zone the way we played it.

And Ben...man I've defended you all year but you'd just as soon been eating a sandwich out there with the lack of activity you showed on D tonight. Sorry man, that's just the truth.

"I blame him for playing quarterman for the majority of the game."

No doubt for Quarterman to suk so bad last 5 games and not see the bench 10/15 mins a game is a joke. He's easily the worst point guard in the league. He brings nothing to the game a PG needs to provide. He's digressed by a great rate. Who's fault is that ???

There is a certain point when enough is enough. Same pattern over and over. Every JJ coached team has been so inconsistent from the line.

Awful. Chances of anything changing, not likely.

Benching him seemed to help before. Seems to be the only thing that motivates him. So let's not try it anymore....makes sense?

You're an idiot!! Missing FT is ALL on the coach. Hey guess what no one leaves practice until you make 10 FTs in a row. If you miss you start over. That might fix it or at least help.

A guy standing at the line for a Free Throw is ALL on the coach?? I think you might be an idiot, especially if you really think they don't practice free throws. The bottom line is that you can't fake live game situations, and players, including Ben, have proven to not come up big in those moments at the stripe. Johnny has made plenty of mistakes, but let's leave free throw shooting out that conversation, "idiot!!".

Missing 15 free throws in a 7 point lost, that's on the players not the coach.

So, the players are bad, then? Hmm...if only there were some way for the coach to get better players. If only...
