Basketball schedule oddity

I was looking at the schedule and noticed Ole Miss is scheduled at home feb 5. Which is a Friday. Then they are off 8 days until February 13 a Saturday at OU. I don’t remember a 8 day break during conference play and sure don’t remember a Friday conference game. I know this is right at the height of Mardi Gras but I don’t recall them ever taking Mardi Gras off before.
Is there possibly a big non conference game that hasn’t been added to the schedule yet?

One of our possible players is becoming a grandpa around that time so we asked for the week off.

Normally have an “open date” during conference play. Last year played 1/31 then not again until 2/7.

Something a little different is the road men's and women's double header at Houston in Toyota Center in December. Living in Houston area, I'm looking forward to both games.
