Let's face it. LSU has placed no value on basketball. Current coach (or lack thereof) is proof. It's really a shame because the whole state would jump on the basketball bandwagon in about 2 seconds if there was a good product. Never gonna happen with this coach. And, YES, it starts with the administration and the coach.

This. People try to blame our mediocrity on lack of fan support, but that isn't how it works. If the AD shows a commitment to basketball and makes a great coaching hire, LSU could be a consistent competitor, like in the 80s and the fan support will be there.

He's been exactly what everyone KNEW he was when he was hired--a good recruiter who couldn't coach. There was a reason no one was excited about the hire. We all knew it would be a 3,4,5 year waste of time. Jones was NEVER going to be the guy to potentially move LSU to becoming a championship. That's why his tenure has just been a waste of time. You knew he'd have to be replaced sooner rather than later
It's just like in football. Most knew what we had in JJ when Snow Peas made the move.

There's always a few militant mediocrity loving LSU Program worshipping Pumpers that don't care about winning though.

They really do seem to thrive and revel in each loss and the worse it gets, the more excited they become......................

If you build it they will come.

Right now, I wouldn't waste my time watching them on TV; much less getting in the car and driving down from Alexandria. The games were fun back in the 80's and early 90's, but we were winning then.

We had an OK crowd today considering students are on vacation, I just wish we had an OK team.

We can only hope your time line is right. I seriously am not confident that he will be fired after this season, even though we are obviously not going to win more than 3 conference games. A football coach this bad would have been gone already. Basketball is a horse of a different color, though. LSU seems content to let basketball just die a slow death.
