Id rather get blown out today then lose another close one. Not sure why...just kind of feel like getting blown out by the number 1 team can build more want than losing a close one to them.

That's stupid

Kentucky under Calipari gets players who don't even know LSU has a basketball program. He'd have two national titles if kids were forced to stay 2 years instead of one. Hickey, our best back court player, didn't get the time of day from Calipari. That should tell you something.

Actually it shouldn't. Hickey is a solid ball player. Teague was just the better player coming out of HS and got the ride at UK.

Johnson is a terrible coach though. Should've done a lot more to get his team to take it inside.

So if we go 8-8, that's not acceptable to you, because of the order the games were won in?
.

8-8 in a mediocre conference is acceptable with a program that is the only big university in a state with athletic talent? NO.

People say things are better, but we only had 2 SEC wins this time last year too. We got beat by UK by 40 last year though so yea its an improvement. Cmon man.

Most people, including myself, who have predicted approximately a .500 SEC record, had us exactly at 2-5 at this point. It's not really a surprise.

However, it will be what it will be. I have said a 500 record this season should be the measuring stick, but you have to let it play out. There are no advantages to making a change now.

Agreed. But LSU really needs to expect better than .500 ball.

I'll sit back and listen

Travis Ford? No, Okie State wants him fired now.

Anthony Grant? No, he's about to finish his third season with no NCAA tournament.

Those are the two dream hires LSU fans always regret LSU not hiring.

, I know you are not serious.

You get rid of Trent, it will make coaches back off LSU because it shows they are not patient for the program to be built.

Need Trent to establish himself. Just does not have the horses and injuries have hurt the program. He can coach, it is not clicking yet.

No top flight coach will come here obviously but there is some stud talent coming up in AAU and JR high right now. Some kids that are already getting national attention. Riverside, CountryDay and St Aug have some really good young big big kids. They will be nationally recruited Maybe a young go getter that runs a high octane style could grab a couple of those kids and get a nucleus started.
