If you're going to press, you need depth and athletes. LSU doesn't have enough of either right now.

Nobody said you have to press all game long, But certain situations in the game you need to press

pressure D is nice, Y dont we do this every game all game??

because you would wear the players out too fast. It's very hard to keep a full press going all game.

If Ludwig and Pop play like they did today, we could press. Then maybe when Courtney ever gets into it, we can use him.

We have no true point guard

We have no good big men

We have no cohesion

Like clockwork, the basketball "fans" are going to bash TJ for not winning the game

TJ did not lose this game, we lost because we played a team with superior talent and experience.

We competed well and have shown progress the last two consecutive games- Down 15 at half , cut lead to 6 under 5 minutes but we did not have enough in the tank to finish this game

And the refs went ham on us.

I like the way we played in our two ESPN games. I wish the ending against Bama would've gone a little better, but I think the young guys learn a lot more from these games then they do from the 20 point drubbings.

if we pressed they might actually play even better. we could press to start the game then drop to a zone and then bring in pop, lud, green and dotson and press again then pull back to a zone and go back and fourth all game.

send our bench guys in for spurts to press people.

how is it possible to only shoot 6 free throws at home?

When you do not dribble penetrate, when you do not effectively screen or double screen you are not going to get to the free throw line

Also, you must a shooting point guard- teams will play us 4 on 5 all day - Populus should have earned playing time today

still even without driving we should have gotten a few more calls to get to the line.

I agree with you on pressing situationally. When I read your post I thought you meant all game. My mistake.

I understand the frustration on the FT comment but if you have ever broken down film you would see why LSU is not getting to the line- Our offense is not being executed to allow enough rub offs to create fouls

if done right we could press most of the game. it would take some good subbing patterns though and only do it if we can rattle the other team with it.

this team needs something to help it score points, its pretty clear we aren't going to beat anyone when in half court sets

The team played good today, the 2nd half was a lot better, the reason there having problems closing games out is no legit pg, and no one who can create there own shoot on the drive for them selves or others and no one on the post can score with there back to the basket. I think by adding JOB, Hamilton and Issac along with a Juco Pg you will see a better improvement.

i get that our o is shite and doesn't do shite to draw fouls but still 6 free throws is even low for us.

i admit i didn't watch all of this game but even knowing how our offense is run 6 is just an insane low number esp at home.
