I really don’t get the battle thing..
If you are a 6th year senior in our secondary....
Guess what, you are not an impact player st the next level.

I wrote a post in the scoreboard form about Phillips missing being huge..
But I’m glad we played it safe to safe his health and hopefully he is a full go with no restrictions. Playing him too early could only hurt us in the long run.
Baskerville really got thrown into the fire.
I can’t be too hard on a 18 year old kid starting in on the road in Florida for his first game. He could have played better, but so could a bunch of other guys...

Our continued infatuation with Giles is killing us. He has not shown any type of explosiveness... Period...

All Chase has done is catch TD’s (are get us to the 1:-). He needs to be starting. Period. Not playing he and Marshall, in place of Giles, Dillon, and Sullivan has got to be addressed.

And the fact that Stephens hasn’t supplanted Battle, just burbs my soul. Stephens is a freak, and they have Battle out there missing play after play.
It really is the DJ Welter over Kendall Beckwidth curse, all over again. Screw seniority. The best players need to play. At some point superior football instincts supersede “knowing the playbook,” which is usually the reason that seniors get the nod..

Example, Landon Collins has rolled out of bed everyday of his life, as a better football player than Vinny Sunseri, yet he literally sat the bench for a full season, behind a player he is light years better than. It literally makes no sense.

Battle is by far the worst defensive starter, absolutely terrible against Florida. Got burnt for td looking in the backfield instead of playing his man, slow to help Vincent on big pass play, never saw the throw back to QB coming, the options were to his side and was no where to be found.
