Spoiled. When you win 2 nattys in 3 years, expectations are just unrealistic majority of times.

We made fun of the gumps as they would lose their shite in fball after a loss. As would their fan base because all they expected was greatness. Football is one thing.
Any team can be beat in baseball.
We have lots of transfers that have yet to gel & figure things out.

I believe in JJ.
I believe he’ll figure out a way to turn this around.

And if he does, amazing.
If he doesn’t, he’ll continue to recruit the best players to LSU and learn from it.

And if that happens, we roll into summer getting hype about LSUs first fall camp with lane Kiffin.

Times could be tougher.
If we said back in 22’ lsu would win 2 nattys next 4 years, you’d take that in a heartbeat.

Whatever happens, happens…. Enjoy the ride.
Makes the comeback even that much sweeter..

Jay has said before that good teams win close games. So, obviously Jay will continue to tinker with the lineup and I think that means more playing time for the freshmen class as well as maybe Harden.

Pitching overall is not excellent, but it seems that they are going to be (at least) serviceable down the stretch. Imagine the pressure these guys must feel knowing their margin for error is so small given the anemic offense we all see right now.

It's just really difficult at the plate when some of the guys who have faced SEC and CWS level pitching last year are struggling a bit at the moment. Add to that, a transfer class that is also unable to contribute much offense. Yeah, so Jay is essentially the hitting coach and to some degree Wanaka. They have two NCs and they will need to perhaps draw on all of that experience/knowledge to get the most out of these guys. There's still time to turn this around. But to what extent? That remains to be seen.

I'm not worried about CJJ. We know he can win and he knows how to recruit and has a good eye. You aren't going to win super regionals every year.
Even in MLB, you can pretty much have the same team one year with lots of success and then the next season not even close to the same performance.

It's baseball. Hopefully they can turn it around and make a run to a super, but as a lovable Texas Ranger Manager once said, "That's the way baseball go."
