Baseball Spring Scrimmage 2/2/24

Tigers finished BP under a blue sky with slight breeze blowing out to center. Pitchers out in white unis long tossing in the outfield. Looks like beautiful conditions for a scrimmage.

For some reason it's aesthetically pleasing to have the two UCLA transfers match up against each other.

Amazing that just over a decade ago they had Cole and Bauer and were eliminating us from a regional
Now their best arms play for us

They still recruit very well.
I'm interested to see what kind of exodus happens after next season. The Big 10 travel is going to be absolutely brutal and could really hamper their program.
The SEC already pulls a decent amount of kids from California. I could see the ones that want to stay on the west coast opting for the Big West schools and there being a little bit of a resurgence there.

I can't see a lot of those UCLA USC and Oregon pitchers wanting to play games in big ten territory with that cold weather that can linger into May.
Oregon St might benefit but you definitely might see a lot more of those guys matriculate to the Big 12 and SEC.
Arizona and Arizona St might benefit if those players want to stay closer to home.
