I may take the Naptime route. It has gotten ridiculous on here. The Offseason Turnover thread was one of my favorites.

It seems to me that people feel like you don’t belong here

Probably not if they were told a couple of months ago that they would not play. But if the season started; they weren't performing at the plate, for example; and halfway through the season the coaches sat them down and had the talk; well, I could see them redshirting.

He’d really regret that during his first divorce proceedings.

Been with my woman since '79, and it looks like I might miss out on that. Maybe he will, too. Don't be such a cynic.

Sure, but that doesn’t help crunch the numbers, penny

I thought you could only redshirt in baseball if you literally didn't play at all?

That would mean that the freshman wouldn't get a chance to play before making that decision.

Also I am generally not for redshirting because every year there is one guy that comes in and performs better than projected. I'd say this year that was Sam Dutton and Braden Jobert. I know these aren't perfect examples but if we just red shirted guys because we didn't think they were ready, we'd miss out on guys that can help us win.

Now if I am wrong about the red shirt rule then my whole post is pointless.
