I made the exact same comment to the friend I was watching it with. All groundouts. Everything down in the zone. Sims was okay not great. He hit a couple guys but one was called an out.

I think he's one of the top 12, and the way the positions work may put him on the field. I think he's part of a group of players outside the top 6 on the team that are largely fungible from a production standpoint.

Say he’s 100% staying. No one I’ve talked to thinks he can stick around. The kid already skips classes and is barely eligible. Jay won’t tolerate it a kid who thinks he’s too good to work.

I am saying he plans to stay. Now after next fall you never know. But his goal is to remain ready to play. Put the work in and have a great summer and fall.

Far as grades go. Forgive the kid for trying to become an engineer. Learned that it will not work with baseball and changed his major. Doing a lot better now. Plus being probably the only freshman not on scholarship makes it easy to red shirt. Just speculation.

Cause he’s not JJ or Kelly, and they kept everything close to the vest. It was basically a guess as to who was starting ANY game this year right up until they announced Money at whatever time they did last week.
