Dude crushed a HR this weekend at Stanford, but his weak defense at 3b started the 7th inning rally for Stanford.

Yeah but LSU beat Centenary by a run and the third game was competitive most of the way.
If LSU was playing another top 25 opponent maybe they lose 2 of 3.

dude really? did you pay attention to the games? its not like maineiri was pulling out all the stops to get those wins. this was batting practice and who gives a damn if we lost one of the games anyway?

this is what I say we will be near the top of the polls all season we will probably get a good post season seed, this isn't like football where you have to be 1 of 2 to have a shot at a title. Polls arn't that big deal in baseball so i wouldn't worry.

Virginia should not be ranked ahead of us. They lost one of those games 6-1 and allowed 11 runs in one of the other ones. That's not a number one team.

wow! you are INTO it.

Looks like some voters punished LSU for not scheduling any strong out of conf games.

I am glad LSU schedules in-state smaller schools. I think its exciting for the little guys. And soon enough, LSU will be in SEC play. The entire season is to seed LSU to host a sub regional and to seed LSU for the CWS groups.

We sweep San Diego St. at San Diego St. and can't get any love from BBA

We were 22 in the coaches before the weekend... hopefully they'll show us some love

I'm surprised Baseball America doesn't have OU ranked but Collegiate baseball gave you a five spot jump. Good luck with the Horns.

Winning on the road in baseball is overrated,

Considering A) that baseball stadiums aren't nearly as noisy as the other big sports and thus heckling is more audible and B) grass and field dimensions vary immensely

I'd say winning on the road is exactly where it needs to be...'rated'.

ETA: I'd be saying this whether Virginia won this past weekend or not. Or whether they were on the road or not.
