We see things all the time about how much football players are (theoretically) making. Leavitt $6M, Seaton $4M, etc.

I don't ever see numbers for baseball players. How much are top end guys like Bear Jones, Eyanson, others making? How much are average starters making?

I once heard that William Schmidt got $500k to come to LSU. Obviously, I have no clue if that's true.

Thinking about this as it relates to Milam and his slot value. At some point, even though he'd lose his draft leverage, the slot value would be less than what he'd make at LSU next year.

For Milam, it will be deciding if he wants a one year payday from LSU to stay or risk going to MLB as a senior sign.

Look, some players just want to go start their pro career since it's still a climb to make it to MLB through the minors.

Guys like Tommy White and Skenes probably got really good deals to come.
Someone like Caraway probably not as much.
Schmidt was given a pretty good deal to get him out of the draft.
Evans was getting recruited by the big name schools as well so it probably took a nice deal to get him to come.

Just a fantastic job comparing apples to oranges and apples to bananas. You really are an idiot.

I could be mixing him up with someone else, but Tanks donated 100% of his NIL money to charity. If that’s true, he wasn’t making much 4 years ago

They also want every LSU player that they like to return to LSU next season and then with their next post criticize 23-24 year olds still playing college ball. The hypocrisy is next level.
