Best thing about baseball is you get to play again the next day. Sleep on this one wake up forget about it and get ready to play again.

LSU is 2nd in the conference in batting avg and 10th in ERA. Didn't see that coming. Fielding percentage took a bit of a hit tonight.

2 errors from your defensive catcher and one from your gold glove second baseman cost you 7 runs. That is what they call in the business baseball.

Talk about a weak arse one poster. I'm not going to explain the game to you or George or any of the idiots who chime in with this bs.

Beau, thanks for your post, that's pretty spot on.

While it's still on the players to do their job.. Some of his managing has been questionable. Would have preferred he took Poche out in the 6th when there was still 2 outs. Maybe prefer he not go to Austin Bain. but most of all, the biggest thing has to be not starting Romero.. not just for hitting.. Pap was not at his best defensively.. The ump hasn't helped in this game either. We should have at least one more run, plus who knows how else that inning would have went had he not given them the 3rd out.. So yeah, questionable managing decisions, errors, pitching, and umpire all have been bad.

It's really amazing.

We have really turned up the hitting which is incredibly impressive given all the guys who left.

The pitching has been disappointing.

Jordan Romero could have done the same if not better than Papierski behind the plate tonight. Putting up 8 runs on their first rounder, we should have come away with this one. Defense was atrocious. 13 lob and an incompetent umpiring crew. Hope to Alex's sake it's better tomorrow bc with this HP ump he would have walked 6+.

What has Bain shown this year to ever be used in a weekend series?

Bain came in because we were down 3. If it were a one rum game it wouldve been gilbert or newman

I hate it when LSU baseball loses. It sucks. It makes me mad even on a Friday night. It might cost me pussy tonight.

Absolutely nothing. PM needs to stop putting these kids in bad positions. He has done it to Wofford, Bain tonight, and even Krob batting him clean up, who got 2 K's tonight and he hasn't struck out but 4 times this whole season. That's an exaggeration, but he has the least amount of K's/AB's than anyone on the team, maybe the SEC.

And I heard he pulled Romero from the starting line up 30 mins before the game. On a hunch? It didn't pay off. I'm not even going to down Pap, he did good. I just think Romero could've did better.

Thanks Stick.
You posted exactly what I was feeling but less harshly about the catching situation. Pap did well, Jordan coulda done better. These games frustrate me to no end. It's always stupid mistakes that ruin it.
Such is the game of baseball. It was really cool to see Eddys number retired. He's one of my all time favorite Tigers. Wish we coulda won to make the night even more special! Tomorrow!

Frustrating is right...

Is it accurate to say LSU "Layed an egg" tonight like my father n law said??

Do you give Miss State some credit with their backs against the wall after being swept by A&M??

Why do people keep saying this? I didn't listen to pre game, was this PM's actual reasoning?

That's not answering the question and brings up another. A three run deficit and you give in?
