They have a decent guy they are throwing tomorrow. Not near as good as Dyson but a tough guy.

We should absolutely murder them on Sunday. They are throwing a scrub.

I think they mentioned this guy is 6-5 285#'s. By the time he finishes 5 innings the mound will be flat.

Jeezy Creezy. You people have been watching too much football. This is not the same. They are gonna lose sometimes. Rankings mean close to nothing in college baseball. Its not the end of the world every time you lose. 9/10 times the better football team wins. Not always so in baseball. You get into slumps, for hitters and pitchers. They were all hot together...which is nice when theyre hot but when they arent(like now) its not so great.

When LSU started playing better competition the team started slumping.

Coincidence?

Also remember after we lost that one against UK? Everybody declared the end of the season and they were a sham and its was terrible. Then they win the series and the world is suddenly brighter. You win 2 of 3 every series and thats a pretty damn good season IN the CWS BTW.

They didn't hit NW or McNeese pitching either. Certainly not better competition.

But once a team gets in a little slump from facing better competition, it's hard to get out of it sometimes, even when you play a weaker team.

Probably. You really think that UK or SC or ULs pitching staffs are that far superior that they have every hitter on LSUs team stumped? Thats riddiculous. This team can get hot against any team at any time. The only weakness this team has is they have trouble hitting lefties. And they did ok after the first game VS UK.

So you're saying opposing teams CAUSE slumps? Ok...

They can. Not everytime though. It's likely what happened to this team.

There is no way of knowing what is going on with the hitting but with the exception of the Saturday Illinois game, we have not hit the ball well lately even against bad teams.

What? #19 11-3 Illinois with two solid, legit starting pitchers? It's not like they're some piece of shite team.

That's right, teams go through slumps. Doesn't that apply to everyone? Losing to army one time doesn't make them bad.

Just like losing to SC or UL or UK, doesnt make LSU bad. These teams are no slouches either btw.

I did not say that. Of course you can't judge a team by one game. I know baseball. But Illinois would not finish in the top half of the SEC IMO.
