We scored our run on a sac fly. USC scored both of their runs on solo homers.

Inside, 1-0, no outs...
Low, 2-0...
Strike, 2-1...
HBP, runner on 1st, no outs...

That is the typical senerio in baseball, you have a scoring chance and do not convert and then give up runs. It happens quite often if you follow enough games. With that said.
