Not a great outing for Poche, though it honestly wasn't as bad as it seems
Holy shite! This is delusion at its finest. He gave up FOUR homers.
FOUR! That is beyond awful.

Good move by Mainieri to let Deichman see this lefty again. It paid off, because he actually made contact this time.

Poche and hitting have been disappointing tonight
Poche yes.
6-7 Lefty who is on his game...that is tough. That 80 mph slider appears much faster due to height and release point.

On the bright side, the rag arm is pushing 100 pitches, may soon be done.

So I'm guessing ball St. So pitching their ace and Poche just didn't have it tonight??

Oh he definitely threw up some meatballs, and they got absolutely blasted. But he didn't really get behind in counts and didn't walk anyone. In this case I think he put TOO many over the plate. I'm just saying it wasn't like he was struggling hard like he has on occasion. Just mistake pitches that were well taken advantage of.

Giving up 4 home runs isn't just having a "bad night". That is an all time bad night.

It's about time for Lyn Rollins to let us know that David Letterman is a famous Ball St alum.
