“There’s two teams in this tournament people don’t want to see, I mean obviously we’ve got the heavyweights,” Barkley said. “But LSU and Houston, to me, are the teams [that] how deep they go, I won’t be shocked whatsoever. LSU — obviously, I’m an SEC guy — watching that team play probably five to seven times, there’s no team in the country, zero, that has more talent. Now, they’re not totally disciplined all the time, but from a talent standpoint, nobody’s better.”

Barkley on LSU

I know this was referenced briefly in another thread, but hadn’t seen the quote or link. Providing for discussion given that I’ve seen LSU as relatively lowly ranked in the remaining field, despite their seed.

Hopefully the coaching staff can keep us playing to our potential. If so we can beat any team in tournament.

I can't disagree with the man. LSU is extremely talented. and Houston is probably the most consistent team in the tournament.

Every time I say this I get downvoted to hell. This team is talented, not well-coached.

I wish he’d do this to Alleva like he did to Shaq

Yeah if none of this shite would have happened we would have been a talked about as a vey dangerous team. Coaching matters big time in college hoops, especially in the tournament. That’s why we don’t get much love and to me it should be expected.

Saying they’re not well coached is a bit of a stretch to me. They’re not the most disciplined team in the world by any means and that shows with their consistent inability to finish a game strong. They’ve had double digit leads evaporate way too much this year and while I agree coaching can sometimes have a lot to do with that it isn’t always the case. Sometimes no matter what a coach does the players just get too comfortable and let teams back in games.

I have had a love-hate with Sir Charles over the years. At times he went from thug to OG and back again.

Regardless, CB is pretty on point here.

When is undisciplined considered well-coached?
