Gladly give the tickets to your sister and her husband.
Then... go to the LSU ticket office and say that your tickets were lost. They will issue you new tickets and invalidate the old ones. Go to game very early and enjoy.

My kids had to sort this out also. One ended up with Bama, the other ended up with the other 3 SEC games.

You should call out your BIL for being a pussy and using your sister to try to manipulate you. Get that fricker on a leash now or you'll be dealing with his shite until a few years after your parents die and he has made every attempt to get all of your parent's money.
Seriously, you need to keep an eye on that fricker.

ignore every other suggestion on here and do what mmcgrath suggested. This would solve all your problems until after the game.

oh, if the sister has half a brain she will figure it out when she calls and he does not answer the phone and he is not at the tailgate or house.

quote:easy fix.. i'd show up at the tailgate and leave early saying, "i'm gunna go see if i can buy some tickets".. don't go back to tailgate.... she can't be that smart anyway, she married an aubbie fan....

Married to an Auburn fan is definite deductions in IQ points but if she married a bama fan it would forfeit all IQ points.

... never give tickets to Auburn folks ... give them , if you must give them, to Tiger ( the LSU kind ... ) folks ...

Thread hijack; but it deals with bama tickets
Would you allow to 2 bama fans to come sit with you on some of your season tickets in Tiger Stadium in exchange for them returning the favor when game is in bama?
Thinking of doing this, but it doesn't feel right. It would solve each of our problems of paying high prices for game when it is an away game, plus we enjoy the back and forth banter/ smack talk so it would allow more of this.
What say you?

Your "stake" in the tickets may be equal, but there's no way that you or your sister pay for them. If so, there's not even a need for this question. Each person uses the ticket(s) he or she pays for.
Because your parents or someone else pay for them, it's their choice. Imho, best option is for your rents to give you both a ticket and let your sister take her husband to AU next year.

frick it. Since you both can't play fair, I'll have to get them.

I am bringing a Bama fan to the game. He will return the favor next year.

No.
She wasn't interested in going to the game before. She has left tickets unused in the past. She set you up in front of the family with that question. She chose the single most relevant game of this season.
One word, one syllable, two letters: NO!

I would offer at first that You and your sister should go to the game. If she brings up how she has paid for the other tickets that she didn't use and you did get to use them then that's on her.
If you think the situation may get ugly, I would offer her money on the other tickets she bought and didn't go for this year only. It would be impossible to pay her back for 15 years of tickets she didn't use. But that was her choice. You shouldn't be responsible for it.
This situation sounds like the BIL is pulling the strings.
I'm willing to bet if Bama somehow lost two games between now and then they wouldn't want to go anymore. So hope for that to happen.

I'd tell her that me and you can go but I'm not missing this game for anything and sure as hell not letting an Auburn fan take my spot

I did this two years ago after a lot of thought. And last year I finally received lower level tickets through LSU for the game in Tuscaloosa. So, I used mine, and gave the other two to a good friend. We are doing it again this year.
My Bama friends aren't the Gumptastic fans you find on the side of the road though.
Paying "market value" for these tickets is absurd IMO, so any way around it is good for me.

That's what doesn't add up. His sister wouldn't pay for tickets for 15 years (or even just this year) and not go. If their stakes are equal, re: payment, like he says, he didn't pay for them either. Payor (parents, etc.) gets to decide.
