That's what it comes off as to me from some bama fans I've come across IRL after the game and around the old work water cooler.

Of course that's to be expected from the most delusional fan base in college football

As if there's no way some bama fans can accept that lsu beat their team.

In their defense the national media and the "experts" seem like they flame this fire.

Does it feel that way to anyone else?

Example: Greg McElroy taken from another thread

quote:

Quote on Finebaum.."It's like Coach Saban teaches us. Did they beat us or did we beat ourselves and 99 times out of a hundred we beat ourselves and I think this was true on Sat."

I dont even want to think about it. Lets just pull for Stanford and Ok State and not worry about anything else until then. I think Ok State has a better chance to beat OU than Stanford has beating Oregon

The "proper" response to losing this game, IMHO, would be to go on and skull frick every opponent you have left, and hang a 50pt shutout on your bowl opponent to represent the SEC properly.

Not cry and fricking whine like a bunch of little pussies.

I am approaching the point where any discussion with a Bama fan about the game in any respect will just result in me responding with "Go frick yourself."

That's exactly what it is. A coping mechanism.

ITs not going to happen

The human polls would downgrade bama on purpose IMO

What no one has said is if bama gets ttheir rematch obviously the MNC would be won by another SEC team

I think they take their chances with another conference JMO

Like i said, Its a clutch. They have got to boast about something so they resort to "y'all are just scared to play us again". Quite sad really.

they got beat at their house in November. That loss was not a fluke.

You are missing the point here chief

This thread is solely to talk about bama fans clamoring for a rematch because they are in denial that lsu beat them.

Hence the McElroy quote.

It was that way in 2003 when LSU beat UGA the first time in BR. UGA fans could not accept that LSU beat their Dawgs. It's the same thing in this case, the Tide Nation can't accept this loss - it's a grief reaction, clinical denial. Truly their little Crimson hearts are broken...

But no way in hell should they get a rematch with LSU this year. Let them come to Death Valley next year and see what they can do about it.

It really is.

Bama wants to play lsu in the superdome? Really?

Like my bama friends said "I can handle being beaten by lsu once in one season, but I don't know about twice"

I just don't see how playing Bama again is in the question. We beat them in their crib. We (hopefully) play in the SEC game - they don't. I don't see it happening regardless of what may transpire with other teams.

I asked the Bama fans on SEC Rant if LSU lost to Arkansas and landed #2 w/o playing the SEC CG, would they want to play us.

Most said no. The others are being less than truthful.

That could really be said by anyone who just got their asses handed to them. With all the glamour of the ESPN talking heads being W R O N G. I say frick em. Let them continue to make excuses. The best team WON. I just hope our guys focus on the next team one game at a time theory. I'd sure hate for this win to come back and bite us in the butt.

we lost on our own field. If I were LSU I wouldnt want to play Bama again. Not because you might lose but because you already beat us once. We had our chance and lost. Same can be said about Oregon too by the way. Kind of a been there done that sort of thing

They just cannot accept the fact that we own them this decade. They brought in Saban to try to offset this yet still cannot meet their objective. Miles is 5-2 against Bama yet think he is still the village idiot of the SEC according to them.

All we heard for weeks from Bama fans is that this is their best team ever yet cannot get it done against the Swamp Rats.

They've created a new term: "Unloss". The apparent definition is something other than a loss, but short of an actual win.
