ESPN has projected wrong often, including last week. They have no way of knowing prior to the release of the human polls.

The BCS rankings don't just factor in whether we are number 1 or 2 in the Harris and Coach's polls, but how wide of a gap there is in total votes, which is likely to increase with our impressive win against Auburn.

Not saying we will be #1, but that ESPN is guessing and doesn't know for sure.

I dont get the whole want to be ranked behind bama to have a chip on your shoulder to win a game. If you are the best team then you go out and play every week like the best team and beat all opponents regardless of who they are.

True but if they're going to hand deliver an edge like that on a silver platter, then you take it!

ESPN says it enough and the human voters start to believe it. I think the Oklahoma votes go to Bama.

Like I said though, best thing ever.

According to ESPN, we will be . . . #2 in the Country on the 5th.
Not that it matters but LSU will garner most of OU/Wisconsin's #1's in the human polls after this w/e. I'd be very surprised if were not #1 in the BCS going into the Bama game.

Wasnt bama #3 in coaches poll? Oklahoma losing helps them out. Plus wv loss and penn st winning.

We should be #1 in both polls, so wouldn't we have to be #3-ish or less in the computers? I guess human poll spreads will probably be close, making it an effective dead heat.

Oh well, win on Nov. 5 and it doesn't matter.

I think ESPN is likely basing this more on the fact that despite our likely #1 ranking in both of the human polls, we'll be #3-#5 in most of the computers. You're right about them not knowing, but we've already dropped in the chess.

Coaches around 11:30-12:30, Harris around 3-4 p.m.

Mehhh. I think LSU makes up more ground in the human polls with losses from Oklahoma and Wisconsin. It'll probably be a wash with the SOS hit from WVU's loss.

Look for LSU to stay #1 by about the same margin as last week, maybe smaller.

I would prefer number # 2, more pressure on bama and saban.

This is silly. LSU will be first in both human polls, and by a larger margin than last week.

The gap will be bigger, and it will grow again by a super large margin on November 6 after we roll into BDS and whip the tide by two scores.

How many decimal places do they round in the rankings?

Is it possible to have exact #'s? Can two teams theoretically tie in the BCS?

Will all depend on how close the votes are in human polls. Itwss a good week for lsu to destroy a ranked opponent.

This team doesn't need meaningless shite to get ready. We are focused.
